Can anyone explain the re registering of vehicle every 5 years?
You want the long or short answer? To make money for the GORTT of course. Why else do you have to PAY for a multi point inspection every year or two, and then have to PAY again every five to re-register?
...and 9 demerit points if you don't comply .
Which some dumb dumb in MOWT thought should be equal to the demerit points for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Actually you would be surprised to know that majority of accidents are due to defects, driver inattentiveness, driver inexperience and driver error. Speed just gets the blame because a lot of times the accident results in serious injuries or death.De Dragon wrote:hustla_ambition101 wrote:Driving a defective POS is just as bad as driving drunk......De Dragon wrote:rspann wrote:De Dragon wrote:*$kїđž![emoji769] wrote:Try driving 40 kmph on the incline on the grand bazaar interchange and lemme know how u get thru...

Err, no. Speed, which is the main cause in the majority of accidents still only draws a 6 demerit points, AND that is if you are 31km/hr or more above the speed limit. Not advocating for defective vehicles to be allowed, just parity in the demerits given. Defective can be fixed.
You've just named about 9 of 12 causes. Speeding is number one, followed closely by DWI. Much further down the last is weather.hustla_ambition101 wrote:Actually you would be surprised to know that majority of accidents are due to defects, driver inattentiveness, driver inexperience and driver error. They should get the most because they are willfully breaking the law.

Not yet, that will be for speed spot and red light cameras. Any tickets issued and printed on site will be handed over immediatelymaj. tom wrote:Are these citations mailed (TTPost) to the offender?
And what if they don't get the mail? Because we all know just how reliable the TTPost is.
Is there an email system of notification?
