PlayStation 4: Titanfall will not be coming to new console 'for life' confirm EA

PlayStation 4 fans have been shocked by the news that Titanfall will never be released on the Sony console.

Titanfall is one of the most anticipated new games of 2014, but PlayStation gamers are in for a disappointment.

EA have confirmed that Titanfall will not be coming to PS3 or PS4 - ever.

CFO Blake Jorgensen said that Titanfall "is exclusive only for the lifetime of the title on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC."

It was common knowledge that the game was an Xbox exclusive, but many expected the exclusive to run out after a few months and for the game to then be released for PS4.

It seems that Titanfall staff are as surprised as the fans.

Respawn's Vince Zampella tweeted: "Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup.

"EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently."

But there is hope for PlayStation gamers - only the first Titanfall title is Xbox exclusive.

The studio head added, "Of course we will [make PlayStation 4 games], just not the first Titanfall."

That has done little to appease PS fans. One said: "I want to freaking punch Microsoft in the face, then smash tons of Xboxes."

uncharted golden abyss is a vita exclusive.. not available on ps3

Yeah but they still not wrong to use exclusive in their context.
Is according to what the game is exclusive to.

If it is exclusive to Microsoft then (anything) "Microsoft" will have it...
The same with your examples... exclusive to PS Vita means (anything) PS Vita will have it...
so if there is only one PS Vita device then only one device will have the game.

Don't limit the word "exclusive" to mean "one".

Microsoft just wants it to sound bad for playstation users. And in effect, they've made themselves sound stupid.

At the same time, "exclusive" means belonging to a particular individual or group and to no other; not shared.

In this case, it doesn't mean it has to be on one system alone, they can choose to do that or not. It's just like when they release apps and say they're exclusively for android devices or apple devices. Doesn't have to be limited to one specific product. Xbox one, xbox 360 and windows are all Microsoft, a single group.

Clans work across all the platforms wether its ps3/ps4/xb1/xb360/pc person can all belong to the same clan and earn achievements and unlocks accordingly
