fellas,

Usually in December, Tobago waters are really rough, so much so that surfing takes place.
Do you think inshore fishing would be seriously affected as such? Should I just leave my gears at home?

Rougher water = more silty + heavier weight. Still worth the try as i've gone fishing both onshore and off around december and caught some decent fish.

^^^what he said... usually the wahoo come in when the cold fronts roll in and that generally means rougher water conditions...tobago spots i found to be productive are behind the airport, castara jetty and d lagoon in no mans land (pigeon point)...

I went banking down patos side sunday for a four hours, caught salmon to 3lbs, would have caught more but left before the falling tide. They were really biting though, water was like 170 feet deep, leaving some pics...

Nice...my Cuz and i had built one a while ago we collected load of drift wood and styrotex from the beach and made it. We hung coconut branches under the FAD so it would attract smaller fish to come into hide which inturn would attract some nice big game. we towed the FAD 5 miles of 3rd bocas and anchored it set our GPS to mark the spot and left it for a while.

It had some bad weather and we think it would have moved so we had to take one of our friends cesna plane and go look but we never got around to go looking for it!

Sucks doh cause i sure we would have damaged some serious fish with that!!!
