A little off topic, but some good info, I think.

No name self?
It'll be good to have an idea of (certified/trained) people who offer this service.

Sorry, his name is Andy Pooran. He's located in the union hall area near the highway connector road. Straightforward guy.

Yes, must determine which is the B14 of hybrids...

Wondering how these vehicles would fare in a flood though.

Batteries + Electric Motor + Water = Bad Combo.

tbh, I'd be cautious of ANY new vehicle in flood and avoid where possible.
Some of these cars have the ECU is on the floor by the passenger footwell, some are in the engine bay.
At any rate, floods can wreak havoc on any of the electronics and sensors, regardless of the drive technology used. And with a new vehicle, havoc is another synonym for expensive.

Importing a hybrid vehicle in Trinidad

Lol. No surprise there. This government just like Massy. They never cared about being more ‘green’ or more environmentally friendly or more fuel efficient.
They just can’t stand to see the poor and middle man benefit from getting cars much cheaper due to the hybrid tax break. That’s a huge leakage of revenue for them there.

It pains them to see the poor and middle class progressing themselves.

Don't want to divulge that information at this time. But I was right the first time and I know I will be right again this time. Although I honestly hope I am wrong this time around, the taxes is getting unbearable now and there is nothing to show for it.

ANSA merchant bank always boasts about how well their investment vehicles have done in the past and at the bottom they have a disclaimer

Not only that
I'll buy a hybrid only when I know someone can actually import and change the battery packs for me

There are people in Trinidad who can change the battery pack. There are qualified technicians in South.

Also a lot of the time it will be just to recondition the cell changing the battery will not be necessary. Again, there are people here who are certified to do this.

Andy Pooran is the best hybrid tech I have come across.
Very knowledgeable guy with various equipment for hybrids. I have been servicing many hybrids by him for close to 2 yrs and zero issues.
