The IP cameras will come with the weatherproof connectors. It's essentially a sealed cylindrical cover around the Ethernet connection with silicone O-rings. lol.........personally i have about 64 cameras at home, 64 at my store, and then probably a next 40-60 at different places that i myself have to maintain
every now and then i have to go change the baluns as thats what ends up in the issue

I prefer 2 static cameras than a ptz though.
I working on making a middle hinged pole to put a 33x ptz optical zoom 8mp ip camera 30-35 feet in the air in front my property along with 3 200 watt flood lights
