I have amplia and very rarely I get downtime.....speeds is constantly fast and no drops. Their wireless modem has a nice distance as well. Plus they have international call centers so if you send a query on the app, they usually call to help same day or next day.maj. tom wrote:Right now Amplia sounding good with their internet package and speeds. Been too much hassle and unsatisfactory performance for me lately with Flow. So reading through a bit Amplia service and prices sounding good...... is the laziness......but I feel now I will make the call.
What about the Landline phone service? For $100 Basic that seems pretty steep with even basic features like Caller ID and Call Waiting have to pay extra, just like long time TSTT nonsense.
Regular features that Flow offering all for for $25.
Amplia doing the price jumps like Digicel?

What area you in? If you don't mindDizzy28 wrote:Yesterday evening I saw a yellow banded maxi drop out a group of women one road away from me. They then proceeded to walk about and share out flyers for Amplia.
I'm guessing Amplia in my area now becuase they were not before. I have noticed there are new cabling on the lamp posts which weren't there a maybe a few months ago.

Nope, end users aren't allowed to use the admin console. IIRC your only option is the Amplia4U app.thelem-again wrote:Is it true that you can’t logon to Amplia’s Router? If so, can anyone shed light on the logon details? IP Address and default username and password? Thanks

How often have they called you trying to get you to upgrade your package2ndchance wrote:maj. tom wrote:Right now Amplia sounding good with their internet package and speeds. In 2021, I signed up with Amplia for their lowest cost internet service. Since then, I'm paying the same price for the same package. However, this option is no longer shown on their website. The "new" low cost option on the website does cost a little more but offers a lot more bandwidth.
They've never called me for that or any other promotion.kamakazi wrote:How often have they called you trying to get you to upgrade your package2ndchance wrote:maj. tom wrote:Right now Amplia sounding good with their internet package and speeds. They say you're not supposed to log in to the router but the default username and password are on the label on the router.

You telling me you have to call them to change your WiFi password and name? I only have them as my secondary so never had to do so personally.thelem-again wrote:ed360123 wrote:Nope, end users aren't allowed to use the admin console. Amplia4U app only works with the Nokia. The other one (nameless) you have to call them to make changes.

Listen. That’s so ridiculous when I found out. Every single time. Plus the fact that you have to tell them what password you want is ridiculous to me.
Zero flexibility to change your DNS or have a static IP etc anything.
This just reassures the need to use the modem as just that. A modem. Have a separate router.
Pretty sure he referring to the Nokia/AlcatelLucent modems. These ones:juswil868 wrote:thelem-again wrote:ed360123 wrote:You telling me you have to call them to change your WiFi password and name? This is not the case.... i am able to log in and change the WIFI name and password. However, wifi range with their Calix modems are to be desired. Its better to invest in a WIFI6 router as every household around has internet and the interference around may cause issues for you.

Sorry. Didn't realise they use different routers. I have a Calix 844G-1. There's a label with all the necessary information that allows easy access.

I’m reaching the login page but the usual credentials like admin admin isnt working.
