Two killed in road accidents
Monday, June 15 2015

POLICE are investigating the deaths of two persons who were killed in separate accidents in South and Central Trinidad yesterday.

In the accident in Barrackpore, 39-year-old businessman Jeetendra Chris Boodoo died when his vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle heading in the opposite direction at Papourie Road, Lower Barrackpore. Boodoo was heading home at about 1.10 am when the accident occurred. He died on the spot, mere metres away from his house.

He was the owner of Pat’s Bar and was on his way home when the incident occurred, police said.

Patrons at Pat’s Bar yesterday struggled to come to terms with Boodoo’s death. They described him as one of the most charitable persons in the community.

His brother, Rakesh, told Newsday Boodoo went to visit a friend in Penal. He said he was told that Boodoo was seen stumbling out of the vehicle after the crash, and said he wanted to lie down.

“We were told he died seconds after,” he said. Boodoo’s wife Cheryl and their three children Celena, 14, Crystal, 13, and seven-year-old Kiara, were in shock.

“He was a family man and shared a good relationship with all.”

A post mortem is expected to be performed today.

Also dead is Paralal Ramsumair, 55, of Endeavour Road, Chaguanas. Ramsumair was attempting to cross the south-bound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway, in the vicinity of the Ansa McAl building, at about 11.50 am, when he was struck by a car.

The driver of the car is assisting police and is reported to have passed a breathalyser test.

do you decide today for today you gonna run a triathlon with no kinda preperation?
similarly, some have been training for years, other's............. there's the problem.
sadly those that fall into the latter, punish those who do the former.
much like with driving and other skills that take practice to develop.

sigh. latter category much?
practice "insert discipline here" and learn your limit, before you go past it unknowingly.

disciplines:
driving
endurance racing
drinking.

If you wanna mix all without learning your limits, continue enjoying that latter category. no need to involve me.

Had one yesterday on the Valencia stretch, a Sunny, pickup and a b12 I believe. Weirdest accident I ever saw, I couldn't tell who hit who first.

One man came out on the scene and telling the officers "look officer he still in de car, he drunk."

The vehicle was travelling South when it ran off the road ending up into the sea at the Godineau River before the Mosquito Creek heading into San Fernando. Both of Ridgewood Gardens.
