Lighting Info: SB-600 on camera left, bare strobe as Key light.
SB-600 behind the coke bottles, bounced off white ceiling, used as Fill-light for "high-key" effect. Helps to have all-white walls too

Needed something dark-coloured to refract through the glass. Otherwise the glass bottles would have shown up as all-white, with no defining outline. My slippers were the only black-coloured things I had at the time.

Camera: Nikon D200.
Strobes controlled via on-board pop-up commander, Nikon CLS, auto iTTL.Westminster Abbey & Big Ben, Central London at night.
Handheld, shot with a Nikon D40 and 18-70mm lens.
To get the nice starry-looking effect from the lights on the bridge, had to bring the aperture down to about f/8. This led to a slow shutter speed, so had to bump the ISO up to 800, the highest useable on a D40 without significant noise.Technique: Basically leaned against the railing, rest my elbows on the railings, jammed the camera against my forehead while looking through the eyepiece. Then held my breath like a sniper, hehe
, counted 1-2-3 and squeezed the shutter gently.
Result = Almost no camera shake, best I could do without a tripod/monopod or a VR lens.Tower Bridge, Central London
