In 2025 the UNC received the most votes ever in its history, 335,165.
This is 25,511 more votes than in 2020, which was previously the highest number of votes received by the UNC.
It is also 12,985 more votes that the PNM received in 2020.
Therefore, the voter turnout increased for the UNC, by just over 8 percent.

However for the PNM, in 2025, it received only 224,414 votes.
This is 97,766 less votes than they received in 2020.
In other words, voter turnout for the PNM decreased by over 30%.
It is the lowest number of votes that the PNM has received since 1986, almost 40 years ago.

I have a bone to pick with you, you mentioned kamla looked old and frail yet the ppl chose her over a young vibrant opponent, I guess it shows age shouldn't matter when it comes to representation. Ppl were not voting based on the individuals but rather their material conditions

PNM got 7055 votes. UNC got 6356. If you add Patriotic Front 520 you still short. Also add NTA 152 and still short.
Only 49.19% of Arima turn up to vote. Penny was lucky that enough pnm voters came out for her and not Stuart.
