There’s been rumblings of calls for a regime change going back a couple years.

It's the President that was in the helicopter - there's still the Iranian Supreme Leader higher up if there is to be any regime change.

There is an active committee to find a replacement for 85-year-old Ayatollah Khamenei. The two individuals most rumored to be on the shortlist of potential successors are President Ebrahim Raisi and the other is the 54-year-old son of the Ayatollah, Mojtaba Khamenei.
The committee is composed of Rahim Tavakol, Hassan Ameli, and Ebrahim Raisi. Yeah, that Raisi - the guy that they can't find.

And what? You naively assume that the Ayatollah was behind a regime change assassination plot?
Raisi is a member of the committee of succession, the president that was hand picked by the Ayatollah and the Ayatollah's supposed favorite for succession and he goes missing in a chopper crash.
Nefarious or not, it's one hell of a coincidence.

I'm not assuming any assassination plot. I think it may just be a case of flying in bad weather.
I'm just showing that Raisi was hand selected by Khamenei himself to be on the committee you pointed out.

"Hand selected by Khamenei himself." I believe that it was you that stated, "there's still the Iranian Supreme Leader higher up." That's kinda what a Supreme Leader does...

Most "official" reports point to weather and old helicopter flying. But there were 3 and only the one with the President crashed.

There's been an ICC arrest warrant out on Putin since March 2023 and the war in Ukraine has never eased up nor is Putin in jail.
If I had to bet money I would wager that not a single Israeli would ever be arrested.

Qatar is not a signatory to the ICC so he's safe if he joins his boys there.
UK and Germany can just refuse to arrest like South Africa did when Omar Bashir visited in 2016 or ask for an exemption like South Africa asked to do when Putin was supposed to have visited.

Russia, the United States and Israel are not members of the ICC - UK and Germany are
Don't know how they will get Sinwar

This was an episode on homeland TV series, where the CIA downed the helicopter sighting faulty equipment, but the blackbox showed a different side. Eventually it was found out the CIA did down the helicopter and they covered it up.sMASH wrote:Could be but kobe Bryant accident was of similar circumstances, if I remember.zoom rader wrote:There was an episode on homeland tv series that had the same scenario on a helicopter crash.VexXx Dogg wrote:That raises eyebrows and questions.

Middle East forces have always suffered intermittent losses, and always carried on.
This will be no different
