Total length bout 4 inches. Yes silver, you would have to pay much much much more for any other color. The silver arowanas are the cheapest type of arowana. You need a secure cover for ur aquarium, but mine not jumpin yet as he in a 4 ft tank so that huge for his size right now. They are hardy fish cause once they are broken in with non-live food, they eat almost anything.
The one Chais's has are not broken to non-live food, they feed them feeder fish (aka drain fish). U'll have to do that urself by starving them for a day or two, and hope they start to eat pellet or somm after.
Good luck.

All that fish in the MOB experience tank mustbe aint even last the next morning due to no no live rock. At 1100gal, unless they have a sump about 5-600gal with cured live rock? And they even mix salt the same evening and put in all those big fish........LOL.
The phonebooth and all.......................NEVER HAPPEN.
I must admit, nice ideas though

Got to understand that many of the constructions from 'TANKED' turn out to be no good. Just for entertainment purposes. Not to mention the livestock dying and 'not so strong' builds..![]()
There is an excellent article about Season 2 of Tanked in the May 2012 issue of Tropical Fish Magazine. In this article, they talk about their quarantine process, including how they utilize local stores to help with their quarantine process while they are building the tanks. Apparently, they got loads of hate mail because they weren't even mentioning what all of us would refer to as the critical parts of successful fishkeeping. Very worthwhile magazine and article. Highly recommend you guys read it.
Wayde says, “We make sure any of the fish that we’re going to get are eating and are in good shape and condition. Reality TV is reality TV; most of the time everything looks like it’s done overnight. We don’t want people to think that it’s being done overnight—people need to understand that all the builds and everything that we do, they don’t happen instantaneously; it takes time. We do whatever we can to ensure the proper environment for the fish, whether it be food, feeding, so forth and so on.”
Brett’s favorite tank that he installed is in Scotland and is a whopping 32 feet tall and 11 feet in diameter. In fact, there was no crane in Scotland large enough to support the aquarium, so one had to be driven in from London. Located on what used to be the Gleneagles golf course, the tank is in a four-story private home that was designed around the aquarium. The tank and installation cost $1.6 million and has everything from sharks and rays to triggers and angelfish.

I think youll see most, if not all, them out for sale eventually. We know the time and dedication it takes to maintain a SW aquarium. These customers DONT. The show puts a SUPERSTOOOOPID tank in their busines and/or home, and they have no clue of the time. Therefore into the classifieds it goes. These guys really oughtta educate their customer first. So all these fish dont die....especially since most of them I could never afford.

Before the episode with the Black Spade Tattoo aired, a local posted about the owner having nothing but trouble with it and how everything had died within a few days of installation. Shocker.
See now I heard from a local the exact opposite. Soooo, I guess we need some proof of either outcome.

I used instant ocean nitrate reducer but no change. I am looking to setup a coral tank and then add back my fish. Help needed.
