will run this rom for a while then try CM9 to compare

CM9 would give a better android experience without touchwiz..not a big fan of touchwiz

I tried the Tablite last night, it was a little more responsive with transitions but not opening apps. I tried an AOSP based ROM also, but it was very slow. I'm not sure that these have HW acceleration for the UI like the Samsung Roms.

U cleared the cache before installation?
im not having any probs opening apps
only prob i seem to be having is the wifi signal strenght..skype calls keep cutting off
not sure if its rom related but im looking into the prob, try CM9 and let me know what u think

Yea I cleared everything. The apps are not opening any faster I mean, no problems with connectivity etc.
I'll give CM a try, but remember it's an unofficial build so there are quite a few issues with it.

Where can I get a s3 case cheap in central? Just something to protect it from scratches, nothing too fancy.

Amazon. Way more variety and lower prices.

Put it with other small stuff to bring it up to a full pound. Since u pay for a pound even if it's a fraction of it.

you tried using a VPN? I "purchased" free music before on the google play site and it worked. But I had to do it using a VPN on my iPhone. But I'm sure you can use a VPN on desktop to achieve a similar result. You'd have to of course add your skybox address as the billing address to your google wallet/checkout.

gmail apps are about to get a whole lot better...

Google acquires Sparrow, the Apple-focused email app maker

Image

Well, we can't exactly say we saw this one coming. Sparrow, maker of popular email apps for iOS and Mac OS X, has just announced that it's been acquired by Google. Expectedly, details on the acquisition are being kept under wraps at the moment, but company CEO Dom Leca has confirmed in a blog post that Sparrow will be joining the Gmail team at Google to "accomplish a bigger vision." Fans of the company's apps will be glad to know, however, that the team will "continue to make Sparrow available and provide support for our users" while also working on new things at Google. That does sound like most of their attention will be focused elsewhere, though. You can find Leca's full statement on the matter at the source link below.

well I didn't use a us card. I guess that's better, but you can try a service like ibvpn or one of those. I'd say hotspot shield too but it's a pita on desktop.

Hey all. I had issues with my S2 I bought from bmobile november last year. They couldn't fix it so I got a new phone. Problem is the ICS update not coming up anymore. It did for my original S2. Did bmobile block those updates?

The issues I had were battery getting hot and smudge on the screen in camera mode. Bmobile couldn't fix so they GAVE ME A NEW S2. However this one I'm not getting the ICS update when I click software update.Do I need to configure something? I've also tried to update through Kies desktop software and no updates there either.

Hmmm
What version of the s2 do you have? There are about four or five.
That battery getting hot is a problem though.

I have i9100 (this is the new one I got from them this week) I had i9100b before. Just came off the phone with a bmobile rep. I was told to check a branch to have it sorted out. Advice?

In case you're getting a nexus 7 soon, they seem to have packaged it well:
