ILP meeting.
Uncle Jack brought a man on the platform to speak who alleges that he went to Dr. Suruj for help. The man brought in his medical documents. Suruj said check him at his office in three days. Man went back, office was closed, saw his medical papers in the trash outside Suruj's office. Another speaker who is a councillor said he went to Suruj in his capacity as Min of Local Government to propose plans for non-UNC stronghold. Suruj asked him if he is sure he will get votes and if he knows this is a PNM area. So said councillor says Suruj doesn't care about his oath to serve the people and he (councillor) is leaving the UNC to join the ILP.

With dismissed St Joseph MP Herbert Volney’s anticipated statement today that he will exit the race, sources close to the PNM told the Express that Opposition Senator Terrence Deyalsingh is tipped to be the party’s candidate to contest the seat.

At least one name has emerged from the Independent Liberal Party (ILP) as a potential candidate, IBN television talk show host Inshan Ishmael, although ILP interim leader Jack Warner did not confirm this.

If I used to gamble I would bet money PPG would send their police op's to lock up Inshan some time before the election.
