I don't think you need any other primer after using it, could be wrong

all rust problems are usually poor cleaning before primer
most so called welders wipe the steel with a gasoline dipped cloth and call that cleaning
if anything they just spreading the oil and gunk better on the steel

I wash whole length running a green dish sponge with squeezy in a bucket, very fast and hose down, prime when
dry with a small roller
having steel at waist height makes a big difference to work with

as steel is already primed, only the joints need priming when welding after.

Yes. Also called a wash primer. It's a thin bodied mix of phosphoric acid and vinyl butyral (sp?). Some say that it's an unnecessary step. My results are usually better by adding it before the zinc chromate primer on both plain and galvanized steel. But your results may vary.

That is the thing, I rather grease and I clean it. Plus, I use rustoleum paints.

Tekton products have lifetime warranty.

If anything breaks or wears, they will replace free.

Cracked one impact socket and 2 others showing some wear and they replaced, no hassle. They will ship to skybox address. Broke 3 spanners in a set last year, they replaced the entire set.

Just remember some of their tools are light duty.

Two questions:
Did you have to ship them back to Michigan?
Did customs charge any VAT/duty on the warranty return?

Two questions:
Did you have to ship them back to Michigan? No, they just need a pic of the item damage.
Did customs charge any VAT/duty on the warranty return?Sadly yes, VAT and OPT as its not an RMA item.

May be worth a look, but usually one or two good deal on some high dollar item or combo and everything else is just a few dollars off.

Consider an inverter welding plant,
A good unit will cost half the price for similar power and weigh 12lbs

I started with a mig since it was supposedly easier to use, with co2 gas
But eventually got a stick inverter and very happy with it also.

Welding takes a little practice

Dont like stick personally, a decent mig is good enough 110v for my jobs. Need to get one soon.

the sale Is not a bad deal. M18 grinder, hammer drill and stuff like m12 combos are good deals now.

Whats the going price like to erect scaffolding?
6 heights to be exact.

1) I will have to hire people

2) There is a shed where the scaffolding has to be erected. I cant move the shed. Best option is to remove the roof, place scaffolding on the ground and send it through the roof frame all 3 stories up. I'll have to take off the galvanize and put it back. How much extra should this cost?

I'm planning on selling a kidney and getting a Lincoln 210MP. If I can't weld with that, then at least I'll look good while I'm doing it.
