I'm thinking about this Graco https://www.amazon.com/Graco-4ever-All- ... tudio&th=1
or this Evenflo http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... ideoAnchor

Graco is $299.99 and Evenflo is $167.99 (original price at $219.99, but it tends to fluctuate..went down to $178.99 then back up to $219.99 a few days later..not sure how or why  ). They both have great reviews, but I'm leaning towards the Evenflo, not necessarily only because of the pricing, but I saw a similar model in a car last week and the thing looks Transformer-ish..very well built. I checked out the Graco in person in Gopaul Lands and my wife fell in love with it, but the Evenflo is better suited to our climate as the material removes excess warmth (and in turn, sweat) from around the baby whereas the Graco traps it. I mean we always drive with the air conditioning on, but it's still a selling point.

those who purchasing those convertable carseats, you cannot carry a newborn in it
so lets say ur kid is sleeping you run the risk of waking the kid up when taking him/her out
compared to a "newborn" seat that has the handle and shade visor as well as stroller compatability options
as well as you should get one or two of these as it provides a little more support for the childs head

While I understand your point, I know 6 and 7 month old babies who have outgrown their infant car seats already, so of course it'd mean you'd have to buy another one, where with the convertible you can keep them rear-facing for longer (which I'd think is more important) and then when they are ready to change to front-facing, it can be converted. Plus, I sleep like a log when I'm ready (for now  ) so hopefully my little one is the same and I've seen my newborn nephew being held out in front of his mother for a few seconds well while he was asleep and he didn't miss a beat with his sleep. If push comes to shove, we can always use a combination set in tandem with the convertible.

I never said dont use the convertables...I said the convertable doesnt have the handle to be taken ou t with the kid asleep and adaptability with a stroller.

I purchased a Graco car seat that coverts into the carry that goes on a stroller (30lbs). TBH if i had to do it over I would buy a convertible car seat from the start as my son hated the stroller and we ended up holding him everywhere we went within 10mins of arriving.

If the mom can do it breast feeding is the cheapest. The bond with the mother will also be stronger and would help the baby avoid getting sick or reducing the effects of any viruses they may get.

Many advantages so let them try and if they aren't getting through there are people who can help.

Everything with kids is learned behavior. Persist and eventually most mellow out and accept it.
My daughter used to sleep in those stroller/ car seat.

Proud to say that I'm officially part of the club, 6 weeks and 4 days now, already sharpening my cutlass because babygirl has some pretty eyes..lols congrats to the new dads and the not so new ones, let's keep up the good work.
Thank God for a wife with immense strength as exactly one month after we said hello to our first child, we said goodbye to my mother-in-law, so I'm just doing my part to keep wifey in high spirits. She didn't get any kind of postpartum depression even after Mummy passed but I'm still monitoring her..

goalpost wrote:He's feeding via a mix of breast milk and Enfamil. Like my wife doesn't produce enough breast milk because he's still fussy after getting milk from both, so we try to top him up with the formula. Normal stuff?

Another scary thing is the spitting up. Scary, although it doesn't seem to bother him. When he feeds we try to keep him in an fairly upright (45 degree angle) for about a 45 minutes before settling him down in his crib (he's already asleep since he finished ate btw).

The dry skin. Moisturizer and baby oil?

My daughter is the same, so we started supplementing as well, little lady went through 2 tins in as many weeks so we bought the box in Pricesmart yesterday; $204.95 in Pennywise vs. $204.99 in PS. about a $20 increase from when someone posted about a year ago. Huggies wipes from Pricesmart (can't remember the price maybe $120ish for 9 packs of 72 each) and Huggies Stage 1 pampers from Pennywise ($216.95 for 148). We ended up buying the Graco 4ever car seat, she seems to like it (moreso when the vehicle is moving  ) No gripe thank God..this thread has been helpful in getting stuff she would have needed when she arrived. Anything I learn or sales I find I'll be happy to share though I'm still new to this. Stay blessed guys.

I changed my son from Enfamil to Enfagrow in Jan of this year. I purchase the refill pouches by the case in Bryden PI (now in Macoya) as its more economical than the tins. Between January when I last bought and and last week Monday when I went to restock on Enfagrow the case price went up by almost $100 and the sales rep said it will go up again in a month's time.

If Enfagrow goes up I assume Enfamil will as well so you may have to brace for some higher prices soon.

So glad I got to stop buying pampers. She is two and a half, and she used to only wear pull ups at night, but it finish the other day and we just decided to not refill. Going good so far, occasional pee down, or she wake up and too tired to reach the toilet and pees on the floor.

Yup wanna try that. Twins are 3 now and the pull ups at night are for safety more than anything. They are very well potty trained for day time, no school accidents either. Thinking of ditching the pull ups at night and see how it goes. Hope that mattress liner on their beds working lol.

Well it would seem that my daughter has a healthy appetite, because before we started her on the formula, she used to breastfeed for hours..literally..and still not be entirely satisfied hence the supplementing, so we'll just have to stand the bounce I guess.

Yeah dude just make the jump. Once the kids potty trained already as you said they realize when they going to bed without the pull-ups.
It's a bit inconvenient with the accident but they are getting less. Last night she woke up got out of bed to pee but end up leaning on the rocking chair and falling back asleep and peed herself. Lol. Was funny to watch as I heard her get off the bed.
Actually now thinking it might make sense to get a lil potty for her room, so she can get off the bed and it right there.

When you say refuses to eat, is it a specific type of food or are you trying to feed him several things and nothing works?
