Performance seems the same as well.

agreed ..downloaded yesterday havent noticed any major improvements yet though but i think its still far from complete isnt it? :| also i did have a problem installing but i think its on my half :?

They said it doesn't deserve to be called Windows 9. That it should be called Windows 10.

Windows 8 = Vista

Windows 10 = Win 7

^ True. Is like why didn't they release 10 instead of 8. I really hope the completed version of Windows 10 is as good as Windows 7.

Office 2016 Preview Now Up For Grabs For Everyone

Along with work on Windows 10, Microsoft is also readying a new version of its productivity suite. Office 2016 Preview is now up for grabs for users to take the new version for a spin.

The February Technical Preview leaked earlier today in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, as version number 16.0.3823.1005.

Redmond quickly responded by announcing an official preview of the productivity suite just hours later. It is actually available for IT professionals and developers, but don’t let that stop you from signing up at the Microsoft Connect site and downloading the bits.

That is, if you want to take a look at all that is new in this version.

Kirk Koenigsbauer, corporate VP for the Office 365 Client Apps and Services team explained what they have been working on:

“We’ve been in private preview with Office 2016 for several months. Now we’re ready to expand the program to our commercial Office 365 customers, an important milestone that gives IT pros and developers an opportunity to start testing the upcoming release.”

The senior executive also talked about a few of the improvements Microsoft has made in this new preview, mostly relating to Outlook like faster and more reliable search, and more.

Microsoft does make it clear that this is an early build and does not come with all the features that they are planning to include in the final version.

An Office 365 subscription is apparently required to activate and use this preview version, meaning not everyone will be able to take it for a test drive — not unless they have a subscription to Microsoft’s cloud powered version of Office.

Got a Pirated Windows ? Microsoft Will Offer Free upgrade to Windows 10

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/got-a- ... ws-10.html

The move is an unprecedented attempt by Microsoft to get legitimate versions of its software onto machines of the hundreds of millions of Windows users in China. Recent studies show that three-quarters of all PC software is not properly licensed there. Terry Myerson, who runs Microsoft's operating systems unit, announced the plan at the WinHEC technology conference in Shenzhen, China

"We are upgrading all qualified PCs, genuine and non-genuine, to Windows 10," he said in a telephone interview with Reuters. The plan is to "re-engage" with the hundreds of millions of users of Windows in China, he said, without elaboration.

according to a statment released by microsoft yes you will get the upgrade, but it wouldn't be genuine so basically after the upgrade you would have to activate windows
