Oh shakes...

Residents of Sangre Grande got a spanking new bridge, replacing the old and near deteriorating bridge that's been used for over 20 years.

Minister of Works, Rohan Sinanan, said the bridge was built at a cost below the budgeted price.

the land near the bridge belongs to ronanni

btw this is not an achievement...any gov't providing something that is a necessity is not an achievement, they are only doing their jobs....No citizen or group of citizens could ever undertake such a job so the gov't has to do it......still waiting on an achievement

Land has more value in developed areas and with better access. Like a good bridge for example.

Not just any somebody, somebody who was big enough to get the first mention by the PM after victory on election night in his vote of thanks.

So the things that flooded the achievements thread under the PP are not considered the same under the PNM?

I guess the key words are flooded.
I am afraid PNM has very little to show todate.

an achievement is a d act of accomplishing something

even if its their job to provide a service : its technically a achievement

whether it was done mainly because some minister or their family have land there will be a financial bonus to them but since its free for d public to use then everybody wins right ....

to an extent I agree with you...but we as a people have to move away from road paving, bridge building and box drain construction to justify why you vote for a party....build some schools, hospitals, mega farms etc etc..then we talking

imagine PRICE CLUB supermarket by us is patching potholes between here in chaguanas even up to couva

good cooperate citizen yes but look where we reach when private companies have to take it on themselves , isnt this why citizens pay taxes , ent there is a road repair tax already included in d gas us d public buy

why not make whoever pave those roads come & repair d sh1t wuk they did , they got paid millions but like they waiting on millions more to fix d shoddy work they did , pay them multiple times ent where as in america they build roads that withstand 20yrs of continuous traffic ...

Except the 1% made sure they killed widespread agricultural activity. As long as we importing, their pockets are fat.

Nope, benefitting people shouldn't be some side effect of corruption and personal gain. I'm pretty sure there are dozens of places where that money could have been spent, so Roundy enriching himself, with OUR money is by no means an achievement.

four years of draining the treasury
most incompetent ministers in any government thus far
and population calm with no riots or major strikes
this is a major accomplishment
And they trying again to beat the old record of the highest numbers of murders of citizens in one year . if they get through it will be another record

The 90 million was for refurbishment works after it was left unattended. Actual cost is more than a billion.
