now that he has the record, i think they should focus on the other strikers and try to get some goals for them to end the year on a positive note because when last did u see pedro, villa or sanchez name on the scorecard
because i am sure they will be feeling dejected not being able to score goals and especially when everyone and sometimes their job is to pass to messi for him to try and score

I beg to differ, if he's scoring goals at this rate let him. many times when he bursts into the 18 yard box if a shot or an opportunity is not on he will try to slip it to someone else. if Pedro,Sanchez,Villa etc can't score, well Tito needs to sort that out. Don't stifle your # 1 scorers' natural instinct because these fellers lapsing. You would think that his feats would be an inspiration rather than a hindrance.

^I concur with your statement...if it works at the end of the day, let it continue! Messi has always played this way with Barca and he is the most consistent goal scorer. In recent seasons (2008-Present), Messi has been in the top 3 for most assists in the La Liga.

If you mean workload in terms of scoring goals, yes....but in terms of actual workrate, no. I'll admit I dont look at Barca games very often but from the games I've watched Messi really doesnt do or doesnt have to do much running when he doesnt have the ball. This is because Barca usually dominate possession. In fact he goes missing for long periods only to pop up and punish the opposition with a goal. That is not a criticism of his game btw...its a luxury of playing in a good ball playing team, before people jump in and say I hating

but if you look at the body language of pedro and villa when they play yuh could see it
appart from messi, the 3 other strikers probably have less than 10 goals combined
