I have about 15 packages since 15th June arrived at websource.
Only 2 of them awaiting clearance and all d other still in miami

WS normally takes this long to provide updates? Over a week for some packages to have any inforamtion regarding their status.

I had 2 packages delivered to websource Miami address on June 14. Got them delivered to me Wednesday gone.
Had 2 other packages delivered to their Miami address on June 21. Got the invoice amounts for them last nite, and the website saying pre-selected for delivery tomorrow *shrugs*

Yep - all. Apart from it supposedly allowing for quicker clearance, I don't want to chance customs bonding my packages for lack of an invoice.

Seems like everything needs to be ordered more than a month in advance now.

rpmexpress seems to be a full week ahead of websource with clearing items

just got some invoices for items that arrived at rpm on 28th-30th june and theyre ready for me to pick up

while websource has stuff for me that they get since 23rd june and still didnt clear customs as yet

If you waiting 4 to 5 weeks for an item with a skybox. Time to switch. Even with the current delays I dont wait longer than two weeks after item hits miami.

Actually, my son ordered a keyboard and when he got it the entire packaging was literally destroyed. It was the first time I had ever seen anything like that.

Fortunately, the keyboard worked well.

afaik, insurance covers the item once it is in their care. from receipt at miami warehouse to delivered in your hands.

maybe he means for the customer to come clear the item themselves? if it already cleared it would be in a skybox warehouse and not the bond.

Does that mean they expect you to go into customs bond to get the boxes? How we doing that?

When you go to collect your packages at websource, they are asking if you willing to give them your outer box for them to re use.
So they open the box for you to take out your item and they keep the (brown) box to re use to repackage other persons items

Lol. I have a package that arrived at websource miami office on Jun 23 still awaiting customs clearance.

Mind you that package was delivered together with another one on the same day, at the same exact time, by the same courier, which I got delivered to me on Wednesday gone.

However, the one I got Wednesday was a small light package (~1lb,) in a bubble wrap envelope, while the other is a much larger and heavier package in a box with some electronic items.

Dear Valued Members,

We hope all of you are in good health and are well at this time. Just a reminder, as stated in our previous Newsletters that due to the pandemic, there has been a reduction in cargo clearance operating hours at the Swissport Courier Bond (MONDAY – FRIDAY | 8:00 a.m. – 4: 00 p.m.). In addition, the new Covid-19 protocols limit the amount of authorized personnel at the Bond. Therefore, all courier companies have been clearing packages on a rotation schedule (2-3 DAYS for the WEEK).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE
We would like to inform you for clarification, the process of clearing goods at the bond. Firstly, appointments are required in order for all courier companies to clear. Schedules for cargo clearance are received from Customs & Excise on a daily basis indicating:
The Company
Which specific manifests
How many manifests

It is important to note that we are not necessarily given shipments based on numerical order of the manifest but more so by the size of the manifest, if the said manifest is in Trinidad (shipped by the airline), availability of Bond staff, etc.

WHY ARE SOME MANIFESTS SKIPPED?
Please note that Tropical Express delivers your manifests based on proper date and time of processing/numerical order to the airline.

However, based on the airlines’ space availability, we sometimes experience delays with specific manifests as some are flown into Trinidad before others (i.e. not in numerical order). Therefore, more recent manifests are sometimes cleared before older ones because at the time of the scheduled appointments from Customs, they were not available (not in the country). For example, the following manifests were shipped later into Trinidad and therefore were not available to clear.

Manifests that were skipped because they were flown into Trinidad later than more recent ones:

M-1998 – in Trinidad, awaiting an appointment to clear
M-2000 – in Trinidad, awaiting an appointment to clear
M-2002 – in Trinidad, awaiting an appointment to clear

But i get packages that were never opened/retaped

Then i got others that were opened, amd even the contents opened and checked...

So i guess is how much they (skybox) pay to get the shipement passed
