A 23 yr-old old Tobago Cepep worker is now dead, this after he was repeatedly raped and beaten by another man in Tobago. The man dropped dead last Friday in Moriah Tobago, at around 3pm, after making a report on his latest beating to the Moriah police.
His body was observed on the roadway.

His mother spoke with the Express from her home in Trinidad, and is calling for justice. "He make several reports on the person, the police and them eh do nothing, they said there is nothing they could do. He went and make this report on Friday and that is when he come from the police station, he went and buy a pack of biscuits and then he drop down on the road," mother of the victim said.

Two Charged in Connection with Fatal San Fernando Jewellery Store Robbery

Two men are due to appear virtually at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, after they were charged today, in connection with a fatal shooting and robbery of a San Fernando jewellery store, which occurred on Saturday, 5th February, 2022.

On Saturday 12th February, 2022, Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Ms. Joan Honore-Paul advised officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) to charge SIMEON JUSTIN CLARKE, 23, of King's Wharf, San Fernando, with murder.

She further advised that SAMUEL STEWART, 29, also of Kings Wharf, San Fernando be charged with receiving stolen items, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of firearm and possession of ammunition.

Last Saturday, four armed men entered a jewellery store along High Street, San Fernando where security guard, ANDY ALBERTO MECIAS HOSEIN, 33, was killed.

On Tuesday 8th February, Southern Division police officers mounted several exercises and searches which resulted in the arrest of three male suspects, all of King’s Wharf, San Fernando. During the operation, police officers allegedly seized a firearm and 5.56 kilogrammes of marijuana, 304 grammes of cocaine and an assortment of jewellery.

Enquiries are continuing
