Would appreciate some advise..

Looking to buy a 10-20 lens. But i looking at either canon or sigma. Canon being the most expensive in the lot.

canon 10-20 f/3.5-4.5

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002Y ... d_i=507846

I see sigma has a newer 10-20 lens f3.5

http://www.amazon.com/Sigma-10-20mm-EX- ... 845&sr=1-2

while the older sigma is 10-20 f/4-5.6

http://www.amazon.com/Sigma-10-20mm-4-5 ... 987&sr=1-1

Present lens(28-135) is not wide enough and i found myself stepping back to often.

Application i looking for a landscape and car show content. Or should i go straight for a 17-40 f4.?

rolling with a D80 for a year naw. No seriously I real like it , it's no D300 and for what I do that's good enough for me.
Hadn't picked it up for almost 8 months so I'm super rusty. 18-55 VR, 50mm f1.8,24-75 f2.8, 10.20mm F3.5.

Thanks for the responses..Seems Sigma is the popular choice..

Aaron 2NR, i not sure about a 16-35.If i were to use a 16-35 on a 40d would that be equivalent to a 24-54.

Midnight_Demon, saw the pics u took that day that is why i was sold into the 10-20 just wanted to know if i should go canon or sigma..

The Sigma and Canon lense are nothing compared to the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8

MUCH sharper, less distortion, and it's constant f/2.8
