Xavi is a facking genius. The heart of barca...

Man i fedup say...he and Iniesta on a completely different level from any midfielder in the world right now...didn't see the game yet, but i wouldn't be surprised if they were the real matchwinners!

Btw pique would know Ronaldo inside out..they trained together at Man Utd...

Good game today. Real lacked finishing. Barca defence did well esp keeping up with Ronaldo. Casillas put down some good saves esp one where Messi hit a snap shot on goal and he saved it with his foot. Valdes had some good saves in the second half. Real put in some real tough and plenty tackles at times.

Clinical finishing is what its about and we did that today. Pedro did well once again. If that was Zlatan I dont know what would have happen. I was really surprised to see Alves playing as a winger.

Don't get me wrong, that game had me on the edge of my seat for the whole 90+ mins but it's just not what Barca has spoiled me with over the last few weeks.
Madrid really did try to knock Barca off their game. Pressure high up, 3+ defenders on messi etc. I just feel Barca shows how a great team does it.

Real played a scrappy game IMO, nothing like i expected from them, then again i think Kaka would have been a valuable contributor. Respect was given to Messi tonight as the marking on him was tight, but once again he proves why he's the number one player in the world. Valdez had a particularly good game, Iniesta and Xavi were quality as usual and Pedro scored a good goal.

What surprised me in this match was the pace i saw from Alves and Puyol, at one point a Barca and Real player were at full stride trying to win a ball on the line and Puyol ran past both to win it.

This match clearly meant alot to both teams, but once again Barca showed that youth development is greater than bank accounts.
