If anyone follows Trump you would know he actually hates war. And more from the pov he finds it to be wasteful money wise.sMASH wrote:That's interesting , didn't consider trump might try to make amends.
I'm thinking the neocons too interested in attacking Russia to drive up mic stock prices , and yhe media work over the last two decades to make Russia as 5he ever present evil, and undermine their world standing , might be too much Shame to walk back. But US officials have no Shame.
Russia will have to decide if us will stick to their words and not stab them in the back, and if the next administrations will reverse their decisions.
Imo, usa have proven time and time again to be deceitful and untrustworthy , and would be prudent to continue the push to multipolarity.
Let the us world dominance die it's natural death .

They could have just saved money and launched conventional missiles. Show off.

Thst looks like just above 1.1c to just above 0.9c. A 0.2c drop. That is still just under 20% 'supposed' depreciation .SuperiorMan wrote:

Many posts about nato members mobilizing equipment and I thjnk someone here posted that they are warning their citizens about being prepared for war.
When u see smoke, u dont wait for the fire to reach to confirm it have a fire ... They hadda be able to respond immediately .
The latest use of atacms in kursk signals a push to escalate . The only way to deter that is to make every attack on Russia a very expensive decision , and prolly then nato may subside .

This is the most deluded take on all your deluded takes.
For all the grand charge of Russia the use of nuclear weapons on anyone within NATO will guarantee the end of the world. Russia may have nukes and big missiles but even without America, France and the UK has enough firepower within the Triomphe and Vanguard subs to ensure there will be nothing left of Russia either.
No one wins in nuclear war - Putin knows this, Biden and whoever is the real President of America knows, Starmer knows it and Macron knows it. Nobody is going to risk the end of the world. They are megalomaniacs not suicidal.

Biden pushing Ukraine to force teenagers to war – AP
The outgoing White House team reportedly wants Vladimir Zelensky to remove his objections to conscripting the country’s youth
President Joe Biden’s outgoing US administration is urging Ukraine to lower the country’s conscription age to 18, in a desperate bid to increase its military ranks, the Associated Press (AP) reported on Wednesday.
A senior US official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told the news agency that the White House believes the move is essential in order to bolster Kiev’s fighting capabilities.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has previous pledged not to force his country’s youngest adult men to enlist.
“The pure math is that Ukraine needs more troops,” the official told the agency. “We are talking about increasing the pool of fighting-age men to sustain the fight.”
Ukraine’s lowest conscription age is currently set at 25, but the Biden administration believes lowering the age to 18 will help meet the urgent need for soldiers, the agency added. According to the source, Ukraine has indicated it needs at least 160,000 more troops, but the US government estimates that even this number may not be enough.

More than one million Ukrainians are already enlisted in uniform, including in the National Guard and other units. However, American officials have warned that the existing manpower is not enough to fend off Russia’s increasing military pressure, particularly in areas like the Kursk border region, which Ukraine invaded earlier this year.
The Biden administration has committed over $56 billion in aid to Ukraine since Russia launched its offensive in February 2022. The senior official told the agency however that Ukraine has the necessary weaponry and now needs to prioritize increasing its troop numbers.
“The administration is sharpening its viewpoint,” they added. “It’s about getting the numbers up. The weapons are there, but Ukraine’s troop levels need to match the scale of the challenge.”
This push for more soldiers comes as Kiev faces growing divisions amongst its West European backers, with Germany, France and Britain at odds over long range strikes into Russia and countries such as Slovakia and Hungary calling for peace talks. The White House is reportedly particularly concerned about the strain on Ukraine’s military as it continues to occupy Russian territories and attempt to repel Moscow’s growing advances.
While lowering the conscription age is a sensitive topic, it is believed to be necessary to ensure that Ukraine remains competitive against Russia’s much greater resources, the official said, according to AP.

Mass desertions crippling Ukrainian army – AP
Entire units are walking away as forcibly conscripted soldiers refuse to take orders, the news agency has reported
Mass desertion is “starving” the Ukrainian Army and “crippling” Kiev’s battleplans, as troops flee in their tens of thousands, the Associated Press reported on Friday, citing two soldiers who went AWOL, as well as lawyers and a dozen officials, most of whom spoke on condition of anonymity.
“We have already squeezed the maximum out of our people,” an officer with the 72nd Brigade told the American news agency, explaining why the problem became so acute.
The Prosecutor General’s office lists more than 100,000 soldiers who have been charged over desertion, nearly half of whom quit this year alone, but the actual number is likely significantly higher, AP said. It may be as high as 200,000, one MP told the agency. In some cases, entire units have fled their frontline positions, it was told.
“If there’s no end term [to military service], it turns into a prison – it becomes psychologically hard to find reasons to defend this country,” said one of the deserters, who was named by AP. He was charged shortly after being interviewed.

Earlier this year, Kiev adopted sweeping military service reform, hoping it would bolster the rate of mandatory conscription. The US is now reportedly pushing the Ukrainian government to lower the minimum draft age to 18, down from 25.
Conscription is being brutally enforced by officers and their civilian helpers. One such official said handling his targets is like “dealing with a cornered rat,” The Telegraph newspaper reported earlier this week.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky signed a bill into law this week, which waives criminal responsibility for first-time deserters if they volunteer to go back and fight.
In July 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that a shortage of manpower was the biggest problem facing the Ukrainian military, after a failed “counteroffensive” conducted against Russia earlier that year.
“Ukrainian units have suffered huge losses in their suicidal attacks. Tens of thousands of casualties,” he said during a Russian Security Council meeting.

“Despite constant raids, the never-ending waves of total mobilization in Ukrainian cities and villages, the current regime is finding that sending reinforcements to the front line becomes increasingly difficult,” he added. “The country’s mobilization reserve is being depleted.”
Zelensky has been consistently blaming a shortage of Western-donated weapons for Ukrainian setbacks on the battlefield. Meanwhile Russian officials have accused him of waging a war “to the last Ukrainian” on behalf of the US.
