Yea Digicel seems to be behind Bmobile with BB10 readiness, but it makes sense with what i have been hearing - Bmobile will launch very very very soon ( a matter of days) and Digicel will be ready late April

Yeah we all know how well bmobile launches always turn out.

was wondering if anyone was successful in manually upgrading their OS10 to the latest to get whatsapp to work and what to do? HELP!

Many Thanks!

Is this the verison version?

if it ia blackberry and Verizon already know about the problem and they say they say it would be solve by next week, he insnt the only one

nah not the verizon. bought unlocked from Let's Talk in Trincity. So not sure what carrier it was under.. and I'd have to get the sim card associated with Verizon to get the update anyway.. there isnt an ETA for Digicel getting the update unfortunately..
I read up that many ppl manually updated their phones thru BB Desktop Software / BB Link.. just not too sure which update file to use from which carrier and was hoping someone here succeeded in doing so :(

not sure either which update you should use either but guess you can try anyone out there but make sure you back up your phone first

Black STL-1001 (Bmobile)
OS 10.0.10.738
APN non-editable, set to blackberry.net10

I get data services on both

that .738 was pushed out earlier today to some devices for the 100-1

i think you should do the post about which device should be purchased. Your blog is quite popular and that launch will be a good time to do it :)

This :!: I had checked Let's Talk Trincity and found that they had it for a reasonable price but when I inquired about the model variant and found it was STL-1002, I desisted immediately. Had it not been for my following of this thread, I would not have known about its incompatibility with local 4G. This Z10 really iffy at the moment.

There are dealers selling Storm 9550 devices "new" to consumers and they email me asking if they could get OS7 on it, i dont put anything past the dealer's wish to make a profit off non-the-wiser consumers.

The Z10 isnt iffy, independent dealers are iffy

To check for the update remove the sim and use the wifi to check. Remember it isn't carrier dependent locally yet

So to update y'all, reloaded the most recent firmware from the link that Khafra posted earlier. Version 240 or something so, can't remember.
Anyway, the apn was editable :D
Data working fine now STL1002

Yep edge only. Better than nothing. And there's no chance that Digicel gonna supprt 4G for these models?

by chance can you say if the apn is still able to be edited with a bmobile sim?

and no these cannot get 4G due to the frequency that the 100-2 comes with, it's not compatible

i tried the downgrade, there isn't any apn anymore to set, the field is just blank
instead of 2g/3g/4g for selection, there is LTE/UTMS/GSM to select - same thing

i was going to leave it, but when i tried to restore the info via link
there was an error msg

"backup data is of a newer OS, please upgrade the OS to be able to restore"

aba, add a cow to the offer an we go have a deal
