nah, trinis does call black drum, red drum and any big atlantic croaker "racando"....i hate that, and also how ANY snapper that is not a "walliacke" is a paag.

they have names!

Well other than lane and vermillion, mutton snapper-redfish; The mangs and dogtooth are really close in attitude, looks and fighting style..add small cubera to that list with the -paags. And i think most people are probably familiar with only seeing lane and either mangrove and dogtooth not knowing the difference between the two.

Rough day of fishing for me lol, started off with a crack off(-really a badly tied dropper loop closest to the sinker.) at manzan surf along with my breakway sinker lol. Water was brown and very sandy, no fish. We went firther down at the mangroves close to the bridge and had a snook grab and go and straight into the mang to be cut off. Was just more salt for the rest of the day, relaxing trip nonetheless.

Well we didn't catch much today just about 10 cro cro (small),but saw alot of schools of live bait,hopefully men might start getting live bait so we can all get some monsters.

caught 4 catfish about 10 inches long and about 6 small salmon from the shore on Granville beach over Monday and Tuesday

Yesterday was the first time we ever caught so little bit of fish :(

I was dey carnival weekend, shore fishing was a bust, dunno bout the offshore scene. the bait and dem not around so the cavalli and the tarpon and dem went to fete somewhere.

By swallows it have plenty bait in between the fishermen boats though but no fish around...
