Stands. It's an open area 5.1 system. The tv and fronts are setup along a wall but there is no rear wall nearby to mount the rear surrounds. There is a side wall to maybe mount the RR but nothing for the RL so I figured the stands would be the best solution.

Sonys 84" - 4K Ultra HD tv is absolutely fantastic, brilliant with a picture that is beyond clear........ but damn - at a price tag of $ 25,000.00 USD its a bit expensive

^ buying a 4K TV now is a bit premature since there is no content for it.
It's like buying a HDTV to watch DVD's on. The 4K TV will have to take "2K" (1080p) video and upscale it to 4K (~2160p). Since the resolution isn't there to start off with, it just won't look as good.

Bluray discs cannot support full movies in 4K since 4K take up alot more space and bandwidth than regular 1080p HD.

Youtube and Vimeo currently supports 4K uploads, so that may be the only place you can get 4K content at the moment to watch on your 4K TV.

no doubt though, there will be alot of 4K content available very soon and we may even see a new bluray format or provisioning for 4K video.

Honestly I thought that bluray would be the last physical media to be made... perhaps.

all i can tell you duane is that to actually see that 84" tv on a real demo is amazing......... i agree with the lack of supporting content and support for it thus far.
But once posed in front of that screen and you watch that, then you go back to your blueray HD, your once brilliant HD is simply outshined.

They have a similar set in their chaguanas branch as well. Think it was going for 14K.

Thanks guys, will check them out. Purchasing online would have cost a lot more + shipping.

tell me if this makes sense

by me, the power fluctuates badly, especially when the a/c or pump kicks in, worse if they washing or using the drier

i have a pair of those tripp lite voltage regulators and they constantly on "boost" mode

based on my research, the only only the panamax 5400 and up does voltage regulation which costs aboug 700USD

my idea, buy a pair of these
http://www.amazon.com/Monster-MP-HTS-16 ... ster+power

so each of the tripplite goes into a seperate wall outlet, and then each of the HTS1600 goes into a respective tripplite
then the products goes into the respective HTS1600's
products are --- the 47" tv, 1022 receiver and a crown xls 1500 for sub, bluray player, equalizer

the tv and receiver goes into one HTS1600 and all others go into the other HTS1600

the goal is to have more than adequate power management since the power here sucks!!

or any other ideas are welcomed
