US make 1 million per day
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/us-reaches-1-million-daily-covid-cases-spread-omicron-variant-rcna10866
that's like 5000 per day in T&Tdo we even have a quarter of the capacity to do the amt of testing required in the coming weeks when omicron explode on we?
if omicron is mild for even as much as 95% it means 5% of 5000 or 250 ppl per day getting hospitalized!
and remember, it doubling every 2-3 days!

I would like to think that the government would have obtained high level legal advice before embarking on the action. However with this government, there's no guarantee of any proper plan or foresight. However, the ease with which they were able to close down petrotrin and caroni suggests there's maybe more in store for the antivaxxed public servants.hover11 wrote:Union tells unvaccinated public sector employees: Show up for work

If the employees are reporting for duty and the employer refuses to pay due to unilaterally changing the terms and conditions of employment then a strong case can be made for a constructive dismissal. I forsee taxpayers paying through their teeth in legal fees.
QUASI Safe zone is BS
When you are part of a union you don't pay legal fees....Ignorance again. Industrial matters are held in the Industrial court which is not a court of lawyers but where trade unions and judges reignst7 wrote:wonder if jtum gonna be paying any lawyer fees... all that money they could keep for themselves as they do all the time

Closing down petrotrin is all well and fine , the employer ceased operations but what they are doing here is completely illegal and goes against rule of law. Then again is the government , is the taxpayers gonna feel it not arse wari or Impsbert. High legal advice from whom, the AG who never win a case before .....yeah okwing wrote:I would like to think that the government would have obtained high level legal advice before embarking on the action.
