at any random moment....check your processes and see if there are more than one instances of explorer.exe running.

Only one instance, and keeps crashing for no apparent reason lol
Even tried disabling the shell extensions etc

go to computer management and see if there are any errors in the event viewer related to explorer.exe

look up the error code on microsoft.com

I'm currently enjoying the W7 life. MY only issue is a strange delayed startup.

I'm here hoping that one day M$ makes use of the WPx and Windows platforms. I didn't even notice Skydrive became OneDrive :|

Eset Nod32 works well for me, using it since win 7 came out. Not a system hog and the firewall real good too.

Anyone have any Bluetooth issues with windows 8.1. After my most recent update my Bluetooth is no where to be found on the system. Only under the device manager. Says it's working fine but clearly it's not.

Tried downloading the driver from dell but midway in the instal it just closes off

Ended up going back to the original driver for the Bluetooth it came back up but still not working. I can access the setting and so now. But still can't find the device. It's mainly for Bluetooth connectivity for a speaker.

Everytime I try to go into settings and make the device discoverable the settings pages freezes and becomes unresponsive.

yupp

from a desktop, no touch perspective, im quite enjoying it... like the ability to close metro apps now... that's brilliant

the little changes they made in update 1 make it much much more usable.

i do NOT like the idea of them bringing back a start menu in a future update. nobody misses the actual start menu

Yea don't care for the start menu. Everything I need in right there for me

The idea of closing and minimizing the apps is a great idea

Finally enjoying the windows 8 experience

Next update to bring the ability to window metro apps and of course a new start menu. The fact is that many people have asked for the start menu to make a comeback, so much so that MS has been compelled to bring it back. Personally, it makes no difference.

Computing is all about adaptation. Those who can't adapt should simply not upgrade...ever.
