yea i know....but with that happening maybe once in 10 years, i'm fine with that....as opposed to a g-shock i have for 7 years that has been opened 3 times already for the batteries to be changed, and each time the cost keeps going up.....first it was $50, then $70, and about a year ago, it went to $100

Exactly. Which is why I bought the tough solar and an eco drive.

isnt that was Conrad is considering?
seems like good choice for someone wanting a strong, simple and reliable watch without all the bells and whistles.

Eco-drives need to be exposed to sunlight regularly, i.e. the batteries should stay around mid to high charge at all times. I've found that my eco-drive capacitors tend to have a battery memory, although they should not. So if I don't wear them in around 2 weeks or so, I put it out in the sun to fully charge to keep it topped up.

The eco-drive capacitor should last about 20 years once charged regularly.

X2, I mistakenly let mine sit in the cupboard too long and had to "retrain" the battery. Works well now, went from 6hrs of charge to over a few days of charge.

What I did was let it charge for two hours then wore it whole day and kept it getting at least an hour charge each day.

It's not proven to "retrain" a battery but that worked for me.

watch enthusiasts....any of u guys know of or owns a citizen eco drive "black out" watch???

is it a good buy? its going for alot of $$$ but i dont mind shelling out some cash if it's a gem

P.S - dont really like citizen watches but this one i would make an exception for...its really a beautiful watch

and another thing....are rectangular face shaped watches less accurate than regular circle faced watches becuase of the shape of the face itself???

MARAJ in West Mall has a decent sized selection of citizen, casio, fossil and movado

Yoli Sam upstairs West Mall has sunborn, timberland, guess, Rado, Kenneth Cole.

Antons Gold Rush in POS has a nice selection of Seiko and citizen....they have a few Bulova too not much though.

You talking about the stiletto? It's on my want list I'd tell you that, only concern is it might be a pain trying to see the time in the dark with the all black design.

I'm getting that and a satellite wave hopefully.

yes boom...that one self...the "stiletto"...dont really like that name for it so i just call it the black out watch cuz thats what they call it too

all the reviewers on amazon giving it a 5 star rating even though they're complaining about the difficulty in tellin the time in the dark...so apprently the watch is worth a 5 star rating even though its basically useless in the dark lolz..

i must have...i tried on one in MARAJ and it fits really good...fits flat on the wrist because of the slim design and is light too...i love that watch...right now i in a dilemma which to shell out the mula on between that and a movado leather band museum watch with the 2 tones black dial and silver fittings (dot, hour and minute)

the movado is only $200 more than the citizen stiletto..both of them are must haves in my watch collection list cuz even though movados are overpriced i still love the minimalist classic design...just have to get at least one though...

A watch being square, rectangular, circular etc has nothing to do with it's accuracy.

Between the stiletto and the movado, get the movado. The basic leather strap equipped stainless steel museum is very comfortable and surprisingly easy to tell time on. In dark areas where you would need to tell time, there must be some dim light at least (otherwise you have other problems) and it reflects off the mirror finish hands and 12 o clock dot so you can see the time.

Yes, but it is considered gray market i.e. no official international warranty from the manufacturer for the high end brands, you would get warranty from the site itself. Just like amazon.

if you want full coverage, you need to buy from an authorised dealer, but unless you are spending more than 1000 USD, I don't see the need.

That G-Shock doesn't have autolight, it just lights up when the alarm speaker is energised.
