It doesn't appear that Gabbard is running a viable primary election campaign. She has participated in every primary election but has only won 2 of 1794 delegates.

Apparently, the American Democratic voter has shown a preference for Biden or Sanders that far outpaces any desire for them to choose to vote for Gabbard.

It's difficult to become the nominee if you aren't a favorite for the primary voters. And the DNC is at liberty to choose who they want for the party to satisfy their party voters. That is their function.

Of course, Gabbard could always choose to change her party affiliation. Trump became a Republican in 2011 and he won the White House. Perhaps that would work for Gabbard, too.
