yeah but doh just cruise round like a madman(although you might have to sometimes lol), try to follow keys like birds and start with a baseline around structure that's known for holding fish like rigs and rock faces, back when my dad was in his younger days he knew routes around macqueripe that held massive reds and pag banks. I miss boat fishing :(

but guys, anyone of ya'll ever surf fish that orange valley side where the boats come in, its on that same stretch with the temple by the sea, tides seem to get very low but with all that beach exposed i'm guessing there should be bottom fishes active on high tide like croakers maybe? I saw anableps/big eye fish there- some big ones today as compared to the small ones at manzan.

fort ambercrombie at las cuevas, the rock ledge is a cool fishing spot. checked it out last week sunday, caught some small grouper, threw those beyotches back and caught one 6lb mutton snapper. spot has potential, area kinda sketchy though, don't go alone and try not using any sinking rigs or your sinkers gonna get snagged and sleep down there with my 4 pieces :|

hey razkal what kind of rigs do you use for rocky bottoms?, i experienced the worst tackle loss of my life when i fished toco and its environs. i had to resort for a freeline with a 3/8 oz sinker that i retrieved with a small spoon to catch some wild cavalli and that's from a stone jetty. oh kwl todd, it looked like a cro cro area lol.

I never hold a salmon with squid yet, I didn't know dat it is a best bait for salmon.
Bout a month ago 2 weekends in a stretch we did blaze real salmon patos side too but with herring.....

I catch nice salmon in manzan with dem same live big eye fish but never squid.

afaik fish'll eat anything once they're hungry enough but rule of thumb in my experience shows squid for snappers, shrimp for croakers/whiting and baitfish for salmon/weakfish.
