I do not agree with them running away as they, just as Trinis breeching SQ, are a potential risk to others.

But something clearly scared them off.

Harassment and bullying from Trinis possibly? I can just imagine the humiliation these poor Venezuelans have to endure.

The three, aged 14, 15 and 17 broke quarantine sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
A nurse at the quarantine facility reported to the St. Joseph Police Station, that between 8 am and 12 noon on Tuesday 25th August, 2020, the three minors, failed to report for breakfast and checks revealed they were missing.

Should anyone have information about their whereabouts, they are asked to please communicate directly with ACP (Ag.) Wendell Williams at telephone number 237-3428, or any of the TTPS hotline contact numbers 999, 555 or report via the TTPS App or online via the TTPS website.

We always check for papers.

Whether they are genuine documents are not i am not sure, i am not immigration, but they look real to us.

However i have helped many Venezuelans, but do you go about asking everyone to see their driver’s permit or ID?

If we have concerns or suspect suspicious activity, rest assured the authorities will be notified.

Venezuelan woman held at sea with marijuana

Two persons, including a Venezuelan woman, are currently assisting the Carenage Police in their investigations into the seizure of 29.3 kilograms of marijuana at sea yesterday.

Around 4:50 am on Wednesday 26th August, 2020, officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG) were on patrol at sea when they detected an unregistered vessel in the Chacachacare waters.

The TTCG officers reportedly saw a number of individuals on board the vessel and a high speed chase ensued.

The TTCG successfully brought the vessel to a halt in the vicinity of Salt Pond and a search of the vessel was conducted.

During the search, five packets of marijuana, with an estimated street value of TT$29,300, were allegedly found in a red crocus bag.

A party of officers of the Carenage Police Station responded and together with the TTCG, a hunt was mounted for the other suspects, however, it proved futile.

The vessel was subsequently towed to Staubles Bay, Chaguaramas, and the two occupants were taken into police custody pending further investigations.

WPC Thomas-Bentham of the Carenage Police Station is leading enquiries into this case.
