I wonder if the official ICS update for the Galaxy S2 will improve on battery life?

Ive found that battery life is the same. Im actually getting a bit frustrated with it, its too laggy for my liking...
Considering rooting if it will help with the bugs.

Tired Accord wrote:^^well it looks like it is similar price to the Navfone - ~US$30. After the 1mth trial on Navitel, it's $30 usd, and the map from limesim is free. The question is which is better...The comments on the google store doesn't spark a whole lot of confidence in the Navfone though...?

To upgrade to ICS, check XDA in the S2 section, in the development forum, look for the official firmware thread by Intratech. There is a well written guide on how to upgrade using Odin.
You could also use Kies, but I have never used it and probably never will.
achillies wrote:The reason I don't like Kies is because it's slow and has been responsible for a few soft bricks.
I just download the ROM I want to use, use odin and i'm done in 10 minutes
The next thing with kies is that you basically have to run stock phone, PDA and CSC, I don't, I always mix and match to find a good combination, example the latest rom that was released is LP2 for Russia, many have said it's "miles better" than LPE and LPQ, if I were still using Samsung stock ROMs, that's the one I would have been using, with the UK CSC and the LP6 radio (better signal strength for me!)
