Higuaín announces Real Madrid exit

After the match between Real Madrid and Osasuna, Gonzalo Higuaín announced that it was his "final" day as a Madrid player, "the end of seven years at the Bernabéu".

"I'm leaving Real Madrid. It's been seven years here and the decision was taken calmly. It's not a hot-headed reaction. I was never given anything on a plate here. I've always had to fight to the death. I came for €12 million, and they'll sell me for more. I've achieved a lot here," assured the Argentinean.

Higuaín revealed that the club is aware of his decision, but he did not confirm his destination. Juventus is the club which has expressed the most interest in signing him so far. "I want to go somewhere they show they really want me," he said. "I know Juventus wants me, but nothing is set in stone," he added.

"I want to put an end to the matter. I'm leaving behind friends, teammates… It's not an easy decision, but I want a change of scenery," explained the striker.

Higuaín assured that he had talked about Juventus with "people who know football" and praised the Turin-based club. "I've listened to Cannavaro, Valdano, and people who know football. Juve is a historic and legendary club," he assured.

i was expecting the same about jupp....

the last i hear about zizou was that he was going to train 2 - 4 yrs before assuming a coaching position at RM....so this is certainly surprising....i also don't believe he is ready but if he does assume this role i expect his son Enzo to officially move up to 1st division since he has been training with them under mou....
