Notice the sizes tho. No 17mm and no 19mm. Bought a tekton set and didn't get a 14mm but 13mm and 15mm 18mm too.

I'm interested but not in that kit.

If you do end up buying online, Tekton impacts are very good and cheap. I have 3 sets in my shop and have yet to damage a single one. Metric deep and shallow and SAE deep.

Impacts are usually less brittle material so that in the event of failure, they bend or tear rather than shatter as a regular socket will. Impacts also have thicker walls to resist damage.

SunJoe power washers

Anybody ever use these? Haven't found a local distributor but Pricesmart can bring them in. Got good reviews on Amazon and other sites, and considerably less than a Karcher. Anybody have one willing to give some feedback?

those thicker walls are sometimes a issue with impact sockets. cant access in certain areas. But they take a good slamming, i love the dewalt impact sockets. i have a 14mm dewalt and its almost the same size as a 10mm tekton impact socket.
both are impact.

Liquid Sander

Postby Emmar01 » September 20th, 2016, 12:01 pm

Looking for a hardware or agent that sells a product called Liquid Sandpaper (or anything similar). As the name suggests, instead of using a sander and elbow grease to sand down a cupboard, this product is brush-applied and does the same job.

Care to mention which Bhagwansingh you see it. The first guy that said they saw it had mistaken it for a de walt.
Apparently there is a local dealer for evolution tools in Siparia. If there is somewhere else selling the same item I dont mind checking it out.

More than likely @ Whitemansinghs...

You can also use trisodium phosphate or a less dilute mix of Simple Green that will work almost as well. Deglossers (liquid sandpaper) have never worked as well as sandpaper for me but you do get better coverage.

Haven't posted on this thread for a while. Here is some of my latest work.

This a shock mount for a radio controlled car that a customer asked me to make in aluminum.
The original part they supplied was made out of carbon fiber. To keep the weight down on the aluminum part I added lightening holes as shown in the pictures.

You can see a short video of the final cut here:

Pricemart has a nice one right now. Would buy if i had use for one.

Understand the limitations of that type of sprayer before you buy though. It will NOT work for every type of paint.

bought it because i had a few sheets of sheet metal as well as expanded sheets to paint

paint all 12 sheets in about 30 minutes

must make sure to clean it out properly after every use

Thats the worst type of paint to use with those small sprayers. You have to thin it so much that coverage is compromised so you have to use many coats. Will also take forever to paint walls with a small sprayer.

I bought one if these a few years ago. It worked well for oil paints and water paint. I tried spraying concrete primer with it. It did not work well. The nozzle is too small and coverage is minimal. Last week I used it for automotive clear coat. The nozzle seemed to be to large for that clear coat came out thick, but it did spray.

I saw this in price mart a while ago this one should be better for water paints and primer since the nozzle in the larger sprayer is wider.
Also I had messaged Wagner about the primer situation and this white one is what they recommended.

Are nozzles interchangable on Wagners? Then it may just be a simple nozzle change for different paints?

Sorry no the nozzles are not, the only upside is you can but the separate guns and attach to the same compressor.

You don't have to experiment with how much you thin the paint. There is a simple viscosity test that you run to make sure that the mix for the particular paint you're using will work with your sprayer. For me, the set up can be very time consuming but it makes a lot of sense if you have a a very detailed piece that requires a lot of brushing or an area that is very large.

It takes about fifteen minutes or more to clean an airless sprayer. The small guns have worked well for me when I was staining cedar siding and a wooden fence around the yard. Afterward, I bought an upright sprayer with a hose and no longer had to thin the paints and stains and was able to paint ceilings, too. It helps if you do thin the paint because the sprayer will tend to give you a coating about twice as thick as what you will typically get with a brush or roller.

Cover windows and trim with plastic sheeting and masking tape, just like you were painting a car. You'll get much better results and cut your painting time considerably.
