why use a button with a longer range? L1 and R1 are quite fine. All that like a real gun trigger talk is sheit. no one aims with their thumbs in real life. triggers are only good for racing games.

I find the DS3 to be a small controller from the get go
Adding the triggers also adds a little size to it. It makes a difference. My fingers arent as scrunched up when Im using the control.

gears of war = 3rd person shooter

killzone 3 = 1st person shooter

True...but KZ (2 at least) still managed to feel eerily like GOW
