So when i not at home or at work where there is no WIFI im unable to connect to the internet on my phone which bothers me (being the internet whore that i am).
So i called Bmobile just now and ask them about it, they said that the sims from the blackberry with internet is designed to work in BB's alone...but i believe there were other users in here who transfered from BB to Android with their sim with internet and was working fine.
So i asked the CSR from bmobile about the Android packages, she said i can only get an Android package if i bought the phone from them![]()
Furthermore she goes on to state that the SGS2 doesnt come with the Android plan and that id have to use GPRS
They only have Android packages on the Galaxy Pro, Galaxy S and the Google Nexus
So i ask her whats the point in having the SGS2 for sale if yr not offering the Android plan with it, she replies i really cannot answer you at this time sir. Considering to call Digicel and see what they have to offer in terms of plans for the sgs2.
Anyone using the bb sim in their Android or currently uses the Android plan?
That's completely untrue. I used to use a BB social plan on my SGS2. All that's required is the appropriate APN settings and everything works fine. Idk why you're getting bad service with it though because I'm still.. Technically.. using a BB plan and it works fine. Only downtime I experience is when other BlackBerry users also experience downtime when bmobile's blackberry service is giving trouble
yeh think i downloaded APN manager from yr advice last time, i see alot of bmobile settings for internet and mms but dont really know how to set it.
achillies wrote:Sharkman121, the CSR talking BS, social plan works well once you have correct settings for APN.
Wheelbarrow, S_2NR is correct, it is ROM dependant, toggling airplane mode should work most of the time, so would waiting, using an APN Manager to toggle the data on/off or rebooting, but bare in mind it doesn't work 100% of the time and it can get annoying
I upgraded ROM/kernel/radio and now I do not have the issue at all.

Name : anything (I used bmobile Internet)
apn:internet
And that's it. It should be good there.. Also what rom/modem you using? I had issues on CM7 (stable) with my edge not connecting at times.

Android: If you've ever forgotten a USB cable and need a way to transfer data to your Android phone from your PC (or vice versa), Software Data Cable is a free app for Android that turns your phone into a networked storage device you can browse from your computer, no cables attached.
After installing Software Data Cable, the app allows you to connect to and browse your phone's files and folders from any computer on the same network. The app works best when your computer is on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.Just drop the IP address of your phone in your browser, and you can see your phone's entire contents, complete with the option to move, copy, and delete files if you need to.
If all you want is to get a file from your desktop to your Android phone, you may already use Dropbox to do it quickly, and there's nothing wrong with that—it's faster than this. Software Data Cable is a better option for people who don't trust a cloud service with their data, don't subscribe to Dropbox or another file syncing service, or want the flexibility to manage their device from their computer—and, of course, forgot their data cable. It's free in the Android App Market.
