Spent about 15-20 minutes in the line of my polling station as there was about 10 persons ahead of me, only to reach the poll clerk and my name not in their ledger, turns out there's a separate booth for special electors even on election day so I had to go in another room where there was no one so took less than 5 minutes there. Wanted to vote on election day as its my son's first time

Serious question, and of course only if you can answer here, but how do you qualify for that designation? Thanks

Members of the protective services, EBC officials and support staff, candidates etc. are automatically considered. I think persons who are hospitalized, work in one island and are registered to vote in the other but are unlikely to make it and offshore workers can apply to be one
