Use the tricep rope on the low pulley and pull up it's a pretty good alternative.

I used to get forearm splints before too. Stretching helps, but strengthening the forearm made them go away. You should try to incorporate exercises that isolate your forearm as part of your routine, if you don't already. Don't just depend on bicep exercises to strengthen them, since you'll want to lift more than your forearm can endure. I also realised that preacher curls were the main cause, so I also stopped making them a major part of my routine. I do them every now and again, but I don't get pain anymore.

Vexx, strengthen up those forearms. Do hangs, avoid straps, change up your grip when doing pullups. It'll hurt initially, but you'll get stronger.

LF Pullup bar.
homemade or otherwise - any recommendations.
Project built@home will continue.

Space is an issue. Garage have the gym pack, spin bike, decline bench and assorted attachments hanging all over.
Won't mind a wallmounted one instead of the power tower type

yep AMCOL- check FB n Website! There's a copper package now for $225 (weights and machines only-no classes- thats $350/or couples $300 ea)- pretty darn gud if u ask me, hence i decide to give em a try :D) .Wide array of equip, some new-ish / refurbished / need oil n grease but good, but the dumbbells/ barbells are another story. All are smooth n painted black n u hadda use a magnifying glass to see the numbers or guess when there aren't any. 1st time i went, trainers sortin out the wimmen (typical) and when i pointed out an equip is wrongside, they playing wrong n strong, but they fix it....today i spot another 1 but left it jusso as u can insert the pin reverse n keep "chookin" until u get the right weight. lol. I guess they beef up their morality/mentality, altho i know my way about, aside from a couple odd machines n my headphones, seeing a whole lotta ppl there! Rivals sting in turnout! Fingerprint bizness to clock in as well.
There is also a rock climbing wall (ain't check out the whole gym yet), a daycare, equip store n salon...n maybe more! you can peruse anytime as a regular customer having not to join the gym!

Otherwise, Good price, wide range of machines...can't go wrong (for the while), they don't open on sundays tho!
jus my 2c... DFC go let the other southerners/deep south, his take!

thats the one self i used... i even got the grips for it. Before you import it, print it and at least consult with a metalwork man, if u dont like the response or still feel unsure of their capabilities then i guess u can go ahead.

lol@getting too swole.
This will never happen once you are natural. You just wanna tone and sculpt your muscle right?

I see and hear this daily in the gym, guys doing 8 sets of 50 reps with light weight because they "afraid to get too bulky" and "i just want to tone bro"

pug what you using to measure?
Some of those things are really inaccurate.

For example, the display on my spin bike would tell me I burned through 1000 calories (lolwut) in 40 minutes @ 20 km/h average speed.

But plugging my weight into this calculator tells me I burned through 500..

That's a huge gap.

My road bike has a Cycleops Powertap powermeter,
measures torque, watts, actual forces generated.
It is basically a dyno on the bike.

i found rounds of push ups into squats into deadlifts the most effective method to dropping overall bf quickly.

20 pushups, 20 squats, 12 deadlifts = 1 round (no rest in between exercises, rest between rounds)

Do 5 rounds.
