It's a quality product. Pretty much follow the label instructions for prep and pre/after coatings regarding stain, sealing and this topcoat.

Allied in south has a good collection of the Minwax brand too which is also very good and would be worth it for a project like a coffee table. For local I trust the Sissons brand.

still hadda stain and seal if i using that?

i thought is just to hit it a few coat of that and lightly sand inbetween and call that george

nah you don't have to do the whole rigmarole with several products but it will produce a much better and lasting finish if you do. I would at least use a nitrocellulose sealer and 220 sand it to fill up the micropores before applying the topcoat.

I'm interested in finishing a new cedar door. The objective is to preserve the wood as much as possible and maintain the natural cedar look.

What can be used to paint on to do so?

Clear coat, or linseed oil
