The Patriotic Front political leader, Mickela Panday, will open nominations tomorrow to potential candidates to contest the 41 constituencies in the 2025 general election.
Panday made the announcement last evening on the 91st birthday anniversary of her father, the late prime minister Basdeo Panday, during a function to remember and pay tribute to him at Twins Wall Compound, La Romain.
Advising that nomination forms could be found on the party’s website, the former Oropouche West MP and attorney said, “We seek candidates who will listen to the people, who will be a true voice for their constituents in the halls of power. If you believe in our values and are passionate about serving your constituency, we encourage you to step forward.” She explained that winning candidates would be chosen by the constituents of the respective constituencies.
Panday also made an open call to those interested in being a member of the party or volunteering. “There is a place for everyone in the home of The Patriotic Front. Let your voice be heard, and let us write a new chapter in our nation’s story together.”
The party was formed in 2020 to contest the general elections but bowed out of the race owing to insufficient time to mobilise themselves before the August 10 election.

What were the accomplishments of KPB and Rowley that made them so qualified to run the country? Both of them have been disasters at running the country.sMASH wrote:What have she ever accomplished to justify she to run a country?The_Honourable wrote:Mickela opens general election nominations for Patriotic Front

He frequently goes on those TV panel discussions and you can tell he is fighting himself. He knows he can do better than the crap Rowley and Imbert are doing, but moderates his responses to keep out of direct conflict with the party.
Mariano can say he is happy outside politics but he knows if the country continues on the path it is on, we all going to crash.

If she get some nostalgic benefactors to pay for trailer truck and TV spots. Then time to campaign she borrow a mic and hold some walk abouts... I would say it would be a profitable exerciseMG Man wrote:maj. tom wrote:Unless the plan is a coalition at the end.
