Obviously the time that power was lost vs time of pic...

Which translates to: 9:21:51....

What time current went by you?

which is 9.21 pm
power went later at 12.45 am or the whereabouts.
What I was trying to point out is that if the pic was dated today, or early this morning, she went back in time and did a photoshoot?

oh ho, lolz, glad we on the same page then.

I know you a smart person so I was baffled as to if you not seeing what I see.

Donno what the pics supposed to mean either way, so what if she was there before or after the incident?

INCORRECT TIME as a result of the power outage

Dear readers

Throughout the day I noticed particularly on social media networks, a rather big issue has been made about the time appearing on a clock in a photo with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs.

As a former Advisor at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs, I sought clarification from colleagues within the industry and I have been able to ascertain that the clock in the photograph was actually a satellite clock which displayed an INCORRECT TIME as a result of the power outage knocking it off temporarily.

I was advised by colleagues in the industry that the occurrence is not unlike what happens in the home when electricity goes off and the time on the microwave or alarm clock must be reset, or, in the case of pulling the battery connection in a car, where you must also reset the time.

Satellite clocks will display random times when power is restored and must be re-calibrated in order for the correct time to be displayed. I am sure you will all agree that resetting the time on the clock was not exactly a priority at the time of the PM’s and Energy Minister’s interventions this morning.

As a matter of fact, I have been able to confirm other information which might set your minds at ease and also perhaps inspire confidence at the rate at which the Government responded to what could have been a major national crisis:

(i) The Prime Minister was the first to respond and rallied the entire Cabinet immediately upon hearing the news shortly after the outage;
(ii) The Prime Minister also immediately mobilised the National Security and Protective Services and placed them on high alert;
(iii) The Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs arrived at the Powergen Station in Penal at around 5:08am Friday morning to personally oversee the power restoration work underway

Given the response, and the correct information, the Prime Minister, Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs, the security and protective forces, as well as other first response agencies deserve some commendation for demonstrating readiness.

For the sake of allaying fears and quelling any attempt to use a crisis as a platform for misinformation, please share this information widely.

My best wishes to you all

The time code is sent in BCD (Binary Coded Decimal) and indicates minutes, hours, day of the year and year, along with information about daylight savings time and leap years. The time is transmitted using 53 bits and 7 separators, and therefore takes 60 seconds to transmit.
"Comrades!" he cried. "You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself. Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples (this has been proved by Science, comrades) contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig. We pigs are brainworkers. The whole management and organization of this farm depend on us. Day and night we are watching over your welfare. It is for YOUR sake that we drink that milk and eat those apples." (3.14)

IT began with a tweet from CCN TV6.
A simple question, just 11 words long: “Electricity outage reported in North Trinidad at this time. Anywhere else?”
It was posted at 9.42 p.m. on Thursday. Within minutes, the responses came in.
People complained of areas such as Toco, Tobago, Cumuto and San Fernando being in darkness.
Little by little, a clear picture of how the country was being affected by the nationwide blackout emerged.

Lol who knows yes....I would think for ppgpl to trip can't be tanty kamla playing dolly cook...

I can't answer why the time on the clock says what it is neither am I justifying it being false etc. I'm just reading what's floating around.

If it is infact misconduct in public office, it's time to go

I honestly think this is a publicity stunt gone horribly wrong by her dumbass team of PR officers (phaggot barry included).

Perhaps she did in fact visit, that's great. However they decided to use pics from some previous visit. Do those workers look any bit concerned? In the midst of a crisis who has time to pose for pictures? Especially on a plant.

I mean, they did in fact tell the population she made a state visit to india...prime ministers don't make state visits you morons.

What qualifications people need to become a PR officer for the PM?

More sense than the watch reading 11:05 and the clock on the wall reading 9:13

Why is no one asking what is the point of the PM going to the power station? Is it that Powergen needed a lawyer to help them get generator started?

I am indeed grateful for your observation and have edited the inaccurate date record accordingly.
Infor. provided in todays dailies seem to be pointing to a failure of the emergence shut down system at PPGPL.
My recall on this type of assessment in the industry is not good with examples starting from Piper Alpha (burning rig).
Many cataphrophic incidents in the industry have been caused when operators started to 2nd guess emergency systems and actually by-passed same.
With the levels of maintenance and testing of emergency valves and switches plants effected regularly to ensure the readiness of same,I am inclined to believe that the 'shut-down' system was activated when a unacceptable variation in the gas supply condition was sensed.
