TTASA has to get it through their thick skulls that they are the ASN , they are not promoters to hold events . Each motorsport discipline has the respective promotion arm and club . TTASA need to collect sanction fees per year based on the amount of events held by all bodies in motorsport .

I suspect many are not happy with the success in the most part by TTUDRA . In fact on one morning program I heard the term " rally , carting, cars and autosport drag " . I am unsure what exactly what is "autosport drag" . Was it to mean drag and wind or ....... . Also what is TTASA drags , who is the arm for drag racing in TnT ?

It seems that we are back to turf wars all over again

^ an MOU is being worked on currently - it involves ALL parties working amicably.
I'm sure an official press release will surface soon

This new management of TTASA have stated that they are not planning on having any drag events, but instead will take the roll of the ASN.

I don't know all the details about it and will not pretend to know, but the first draft of the MOU was done in late 2012 early 2013 which included TTASA. At that point TTASA's structure included a MotorSport General Council that included various clubs and associations. If the MOU included TTASA it would have, by extension, included the clubs under TTASA, not so?

Anyway, I believe everyone is now individually included in the current iteration of the MOU.

On another note, it is my humble opinion that at this crucial time I think it is imperative that everyone work together to ensure that motorsport moves forward. Any one group jumping the gun and doing their own thing without consulting others would appear as lack of unity and could result in the Ministry and other bodies such as Land Management not wanting to support motorsport. Communication is vital and operating on hearsay is dangerous.

Noted Duane . Not trying to be counter productive as much is discussed without the proper public indulgence or communication . Who are the stakeholders here ? All I am saying that all of these stakeholders need to be consulted and involved . With each and every arm represented, information correct information needs to shared amongst that arms members and feedback taken. By the way I was not working on hearsay........ but we continue .

Crucial times ahead and we are all grateful for any progress, it has been too long in coming .

There was a meeting last week with 4 ministers and representative from all the motorsport bodies. Hopefully positive things will continue to come from that meeting

what exactly are those sanctions?
how are they assisting the other bodies. that they benefit from paying such a success tax?

Tax breaks for sponsors?
Reduced prices on items bought through the bodies?
etc?

As long as its nothing more than a success tax, they can keep their title
