Saw the Snyder cut over the weekend and yes it is better, similar to what everyone is saying much more development of characters.
Spoilers-------------
Cyborg was basically cut out the Whedon cut compared to what is in this cut. way better arc.
Flash is also better and had more impact on the story and final outcome.
Story is basically the same just longer scenes and more development.
The final battle is WAY better and you get them working together more.
BUT...
There is a better cut to be had at about 3 hours I am thinking, Snyder did Snyder, big epic slow motion scenes to the point it dragged on in spots. Bruce Wayne riding to the fishing village had a lot of epic shots seemed to go on forever.
The weird singing in the village after Aquaman leaves.
The slow motion of the Cyborg football scenes.
At times I just wanted the movie to get on with it.
And the last scene with Aline Manhunter, cool yes, but does nothing for the movie.
Also some weird story telling - that Cyborg sequence where his father explains his power just shifted to documentary style/PowerPoint approach.
Interestingly enough, I came across the Whedon cut on cable last night and took it in. It is not as bad as I remembered and he did try to summarize things and make it shorter. But the final battle is where the Whedon cut failed. It was so much better in the this version.
My to cents....
