thank god Trini people too lazy to riot or even be bothered to do something extreme and real about the racial tensions divide. Except cyak on facebook and online forums. We will sooner see Venezuelans on the road throwing pitch oil bottle than a Trini.

And that's exactly what the politicians of this country know and they know how to use it every elections and keep the country racially divided. They set up the population too nice with too much to lose if they riot.

Every UNC politician have something to say about elections in Guyana you would swear we have vested interest in the outcome there.

The only interest TT should have there is how much we cud exploit to our benefit.

Non PNM ppl are indeed lazy

Remember when we had good governance, there would be PNM ppl hyped up ready to march and riot at the comand of PNM,

Non PNM ppl sit back and think while PNM ready to riot and loot.

A Cotton Tree Village, West Coast Berbice youth was fatally shot last night as violent protests that gripped the area earlier in the day continued and another teenager was also critically injured but was unable to be transported to the hospital in Georgetown for further medical care due to the roads being blocked by protesters.

Dead is Devon Hansraj, of Cotton Tree Village. He was said to be 19 years old. Residents said that he sustained one gunshot injury. According to information obtained by Stabroek News, police ranks opened fire at the Cotton Tree Village and Bush Lot Village protests after protesters persistently attacked them with missiles in the form of glass bottles.

Stabroek News was told that Hansraj was shot during the Cotton Tree protest and was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he succumbed.

Jevaughn Stephen, the Director of Regional Health Services, who was present at the New Amsterdam hospital last evening, confirmed that Hansraj had died.

Guyana needs a state of emergency right now with a strict curfew. Guyana's leaders need to stop this nonsense now and request UN aid if they love their country so much. Call a fresh elections administered and reviewed by the UN or a neutral international entity.

Big violent protest with police outside and this girl decided to just walk out she house? Stay in yuh blasted house!

This man doh care about injunction and not listening to anybody.

GECOM finalising elections results despite injunction

-Returning Officer denies request for Region Four recount

Despite an injunction in place preventing it from making a declaration of the total vote count from last Monday’s elections, the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) yesterday continued to move ahead to finalise the results, with Chief Election Officer (CEO) Keith Lowenfield requesting that a meeting be called so that he may submit his final report.

The GECOM Secretariat yesterday also published on its website what it called the “certified” copies of the declarations submitted to the CEO by each of the Returning Officers for the ten electoral districts, including for Region Four. These results have been mired in controversy as international, regional and local observer missions have said the tabulation was not completed in keeping with the law. Questions also remain about the final count in regions Three, Five and Six.

However, Lowenfield yesterday wrote to GECOM Chairperson Claudette Singh requesting the meeting so that he could submit his final report.

That country is so racially divided you have to be there to understand what I say.

There is literally a black party and an Indian party. Not unc/PNM style. If you were an Indian in Georgetown right now you better be hiding or trying to get to the airport to escape.

Granger was a military leader under hoyte. He learned well from him and is simply making a repeat of history. They legitimately lost the election by almost a 33% margin and conspired with their version of our “ECB” who violated the rules severely and rigged part of the process against the instruction of the independent observers etc. and these people have no shame in announcing that that’s what they chose to go with, granger decided and crafted it in a way that now doing the legitimate thing will take too long so they are going with the illegitimates results.

Black people are out in the streets looting and fighting the Indians in civil war style battles. If it was easy to share videos here I’d share. it’s sad because even the educated black folk born there who work Here are terribly ashamed of what is taking place.

BREAKING: Chief Justice says has jurisdiction in Region Four results case.

Chief Justice Roxane George this afternoon ruled that the court has jurisdiction in a case brought by a supporter of the PPP seeking full verification of the vote for Region Four at Monday’s General and Regional elections.

Her ruling means that she will take arguments on the substantive case and there is therefore no likelihood of the swearing in of a new President until the case has been disposed of.

Put your 7 day memory a side.... Rowley said the same thing when PP won. He followed through and the PNM didn't attend parliament for more than 6 months

BREAKING: Chief Justice rules declaration for Region Four was unlawful

Image

Acting Chief Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire today ruled that there had been substantial non-compliance by the Returning Officer for Region Four Clairmont Mingo in his purported declaration of of results for Region Four and the results are therefore null and void and vacated.

She also ordered that the Guyana Elections Commission cannot declare a final result until the declaration for Region Four is properly done.

She ruled that the process required for the declaration should begin by tomorrow at 11 am.

The CJ’s ruling would be seen as a major victory for the opposition but questions still remain as to what process will now be followed by Mingo to satisfy concerns about an accurate declaration for Region Four . Region Four is pivotal to the final outcome of the elections.

Acting Chief Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire delivers her ruling on the case seeking full verification of the vote count for Region Four at last Monday’s general and regional elections.
