Separation of church and state is needed, we cannot subscribe to inclusiveness, openness and equality and also want to subscribe to fundamental religion, the two concepts do not work together. Religion does not work well with anything that contradicts it, religion is absolute and irreformable.

Except its not a public school or 'state' school so separating church and state won't apply here, however there are some rules that do apply wrt discrimination and I would hope this incident is one of them

The concordat agreement between the goverment and religious boards in 1962 gave the religious boards the right to hire their own staff. No goverment can't impose which staff should be in your school.
