You might want to purchase the glow plug relay also ..

OP, no import license needed ..

Which skybox company are you using ?
Using seabox shipping. It's alot cheaper than using skybox for heavier items. It will just take a little longer to reach

I have both seabox and skybox and over a certain weight the skybox rates are quite affordable so where time is an issue I use the skybox service. You need to define heavy.

the compressor is about approximately 11-12 pounds. its not the heaviest item but im trying to cut cost where i can. i dont mind waiting on it as my ac has not been working for a while now. Hoping it will reach about month end so which would be good timing for me to do the repair. smaller or more sensitive items like glasses or computer parts i will ship with skybox but most items like heavier auto parts and rims seabox makes more sense to me. the rates are like 2.50 per pound compared to skybox which is like 4.75 or so. Its not super necessary that i get it quickly so i dont mind waiting

Thats super light.

I shipped something 75lbs 2 weeks ago and was considering sea because i wasnt interested in getting it fast.

However my sea freight company said that shipping via air would be more economical and that sea is best used for items 99lbs and over.

Most car parts do not require any licences. However an ac compressor for a vehicle does because it uses a refrigerant gas. You will need an import licence from the ministry of trade to import it no matter where u buy it from online. Car ac compressors attract vat only at 12.5% and no import duty. Most other car parts would be 30% import duty plus vat.

I think only if it contains actual refrigerant gas the import permit is required i.e ac units, fridges etc

Once it doesn't contain any refrigerant,I don't think you need the license

hi i paid 142 US (1000tt) for mine and it cost me 305tt to clear with seaboxtt. mine is an aftermarket brand so if you looking for the original denso it may be more expensive. the original sells for 3000 locally and 2000 foreign used. if is for the 121 fielder look for the bottleneck compressor for the toyota echo (1nzfe engine)

Was looking for original denso. it's for the 141 fielder, just the solenoid valve gone bad which it seems is a problem alot of ppl are getting. It was recommended to buy a bottleneck one an modify the lines but they saying bottleneck compressors sell out veryyyy quickly

Bought via site...it requires the chassis # of the vehicle, the relevant part # would come up...together with prices...I would usually copy and paste model # into google and several hits would come up

I bought a compressor for the toyota echo which is the US version of the Yaris. It carries the same engine as the nze121 (1nzfe)
so it is the same thing. . the supplier i bought from sold out but here is a link for another one https://www.amazon.com/Compressor-Clutc ... auto+parts

you can also check ebay for them as well

the solenoid is actually available on amazon to buy for $35us
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HCUMMSS/?c ... _lig_dp_it
never bought one as yet but i dont mind giving it a try as i was told my 5 star cooling its just 400tt to install....so it maybe worth a shot just to try it out and see...and its like 350-400 to buy it and import it through web source.
