We can't be talking cutting consumption, reducing imports, Forex problems and leave hybrids out of the tax/mvt/customs duties scene.

We don't manufacture them and they require US$. Green or not!!!

^^ that's sort of silly, at a time like this government should be encouraging as many people to go Greener, they should completely remove the taxes on Hybrids and All electric regardless of engine size.

Are the hybrids with bigger engines greener than the ones with smaller engines?

Is it that you pay full mvt, duties and vat? Or you pay a percentage of it

Hybrids reduces the gas / diesel consumption .

It have nothing to do with the "Green Movement" ..

Guys i came across a qualified Hybrid mechanic whom I have been using for the past 2 yrs.

Very knowledgeable and honest guy with the right tools. I have seen him repaired battery packs and routine mtce.
