Lazy staff is most common in government services as a result of no work ethics and very little supervision. Results do no matter in government.
In the private sector ppl have to work cause results are needed for them to survive.
Now we have the case of underpaying ppl which is abused. Some rather stay home than be underpaid.
These same lazy trinis will work their bones off when abroad cause they have to survive and they may get better work conditions.
So all in all trins work smarter to suit their economic conditions.

Immigrants coming here will work harder cause they know where they came from things was much different.
Every other country has the same situation where some don't want to work, think USA where Mexicans do the work that no else does. In the UK eastern Europeans and Africans do the work that's Brits won't do.

Then again some ppl are happy doing nothing and live within their means. Some work and get big pay but are not happy.

Their work ethic is very impressive but as expected some are being "infected" by the local culture. A few of the attendants at a grocery I frequent picking up some bad habits like talking on the phone and liming when there are things to be done.

The main reason they're so pleasant is because they need to be. They wany money ppl.

Yes and this is the main reason Trinis can no longer find work, they took it for granted, now it is near impossible to find a job even in a hardware lifting cement bags, 2 years ago you could get that kind of work in the morning, today it would be almost impossible.

Trinis have themselves to blame, both for being lazy and for electing a government that actually encourages illegal immigration.

On the plus side there will be eye candy when you go for service now, employers will also prefer to hire the eye candy who will work for less and will work harder than the KFC guntress with the attitude who does throw hot oil on customers. This is reality now, many Trinis are waking up to it but it is too late

We will be at around half a million Venezuelans in a few years time. Even if the government wanted, they can't actually do anything now, and trying to deport all of them will result in a civil war and they have the guns they are bringing it in. Trinis are in for a very rude awakening they took this land for granted with their corruption and laziness.

Rowley will need to give all of them citizenship, I am confident that he will do this. And who knows with this new found work force we might actually get companies investing in building factories in this country now, and these new people will forever change how politicians are elected in this country, I believe this may be a good thing they could literally uproot the entire base of both UNC and PNM. We just need to give these people citizenship and Rowley will find a way to do it.

I disagree with the dismissal of hard working locals. I believe proper job evaluations should be conducted by the use of competency assurance systems etc to know who the best of the best is...sadly the foreigners would be on top.

We have to hold on to the little number of hard working locals we have...and work with the foreigners...

Two friends of mine whom are sons of business owners married foreign women. One a vene and the next a colombian.
One guy was telling me its the way to go. They work hard, honest, know what they want in life, have ambition, dont party and hoe down like our locals etc.

All please take the above statement with a pot spoon of salt. Many of us with no ties to the mainland have no idea what they may be getting themselves into sure there are diamonds in the rough but they are very rare. Most are here to find a man to fund their family in the homeland. As for the promiscuity, that does not belong to any race of people, more so if that were true how many establishments of ill repute are allegedly filled with these women?

Further, do we know the history of Colombia and Venezuela, criminals from those countries of decades ago would make mass with our current security systems? There are good and bad persons of any nationality. It's just that the countries outlined are well noted worldwide for criminal activity.
