Huilles, caimans control those areas, the tunnels are always filled with water, passing tru them to reach out to a next one would be impossible

And this.."people from the area are tight lipped about this as many have went in and never returned."

So if they went in and didn't come out, then that explains why THEY are tight lipped.
ah ha! lol

Whatever drains they have by the runway work very good, any heavy rain and the water disappears instantly. Lots of vertical concrete culverts all around the bush surrounding the runways.

^ where is said runway? Is it easily accessible?

Go to the top of the lighthouse in Toco then look away from the sea (south/south-east). You can't miss it.

there is a large military underground base at the end of the highway.the old folks say that the highway used to dip and go down into this base.its still there beyond the army barracks where the highway ends.but i think the army not going an let people snoop around there.i think this is the reason why they did not just extend the highway to the strech, insead they went and had to build this elaborate valencia bypass with a hundred roundabout.

When seereeram brothers was digging up all over Carlsen field to get material, they found a lot of ww2 ammo and guns. Remember carlsen field has the ww2 landing base.

i now realize its the whole area was the base, thought it was just where it have the still present concrete strip

With the end of World War II Carlsen Airfield was reduced in scope to a skeleton staff. It was placed under the command of the 24th Composite Wing based at Borinquen AFB, Puerto Rico. In 1947 Navy C-47 operations at nearby Waller Air Force Base were moved to Carleson.

The airfield was redesignated Carlsen Air Force Base on March 26, 1948, by the Department of the Air Force General Order Number 10. Carlsen AFB was turned over to the United States Navy on 28 May 1949 and was renamed NAF (LTA) Carlsen Field. Naval units used the facility until it was formally disestablished on 10 January 1950.

Today the former air and naval airship base has been turned into a dairy and agricultural area south of Chaguanas and is all but unrecognizable. Much of the former airfield area is owned by National Flour Mills and the only remnants of the base are the name of the area in south Chaguanas, along with streets named "Edinburgh" and "Xeres"
